Chapter 4

Cory's POV

"This way," Toriel say, walking into another room. We follow her, revealing an room with purple floors, dark purple pillars and more vines. This RUINS seems to be dirty, I thought. Really dirty.

"Welcome to your new home, innocent ones. Allow me to educate you in the operations of the RUINS."

There's a puzzle that Toriel's about to do. There's six pressure plates, she only did four in a square-shaped.

"The RUINS are full of puzzles," She spoke sweetly, like we're four years old. "Ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. One must solve them to move room to room. Please adjust yourself to the sight of them." Then she leaves, Frisk follows her while I try stepping on the remaining pressure plate that Toriel didn't use. You can't tell me what to do, Toriel! I thought, giving up and walking towards the doorway.

I just caught up to them as Toriel continued. "To progress here, we must trigger several switches. Do not worry, my children! I have labelled which switches you need to flip."

I smiled at this, looking at Frisk in her amber eyes. She nodded and flipped one lever, while I did the another after crossing the bridge. "Say, this puzzle isn't so bad." I whispered to Frisk.

"Splendid!" Toriel cheered. "I am proud of you little ones. Let us move to the next room."

"Wait for me!" Frisk shouted, running after Toriel. I look back, suddenly seeing Flowey before he smile wickedly at me and disappear into the purplish ground. Okay then...

"Cory!" Frisk called, I quickly caught up with them. "What were you looking at?"

She can't know about this...

"Thought I saw something, guess not." I lied.

"Oh... Okay."

We turn our attention towards Toriel as we step in a room with a dummy in a corner...
