"Change my name? But my name is just fine." I said to my Grandmother.

"Oh I got the perfect name." She said. Did she even hear me? "Your middle name is very pretty. Amanda can be your first name. Grace is very beautiful. Grace can be your middle name. And of course you will take the last name Lightwood." she said like it was no big deal.

"Amanda Grace Lightwood. Perfect, I just found out who I am and now I'm changing again." I said. Maryse just smiled and walked away. I turned around to look back at my room. I shut the door and started to unpack.

Halfway through unpacking, another knock sounded on my door. I walked to the door and opened it to see my Uncle Jace on the other side.

"Maryse wanted me to tell you that you will start training tomorrow. And she told me not to call you Kylie. She told me to call you Amanda. Is that true?" he asked. I nodded.

"Let's not talk about it." I said to Uncle Jace. He nodded and walked away. I shut the door and went to finish unpacking. Another knock sounded and I went to the door once again. Maryse was patiently waiting on the other side.

"Amanda, a few of Idris' best girl shadowhunters in training are coming tomorrow to train with you. Wear something to make them jealous, okay?" she asked. I nodded.

"But what? I don't know what would make other teenage girls that are shadowhunters jealous. None of my friends were shadowhunters." I said. Maryse walked into the room and toward my bags of clothes. She pulled out a black sports bra that had real diamonds on it spelling:

Rebel

She then proceeded to find the matching leggings with the same word down the left leg.

"This is fine." she said. She handed me the clothes and walked out of the room. I set the clothes down on the chair near the desk I just noticed. I checked the time and say it was almost midnight. I cleared off my bed and got ready to go to sleep. I have a big day tomorrow and changing my name just adds to my stress. What is she thinking?

The Following Morning

"Amanda! Wake up!" I heard shouting on the other side of the door that was somebody I did not know. I got up and opened the door to find a teenage girl my age. She had bright red hair and she looked like a younger version of Aunt Clary. Behind her stood a boy who looked the same age as her but with blonde hair and looked a lot like Uncle Jace.

"Who are you guys?" As I said this another girl came into view. She had pitch black hair and green eyes. I could easily tell they were all shadowhunters from the runes on their arms. I didn't have any yet.

"I'm Merissa. This is my twin brother, Jason, and our cousin, and yours too, Ashley. We're Herondales and she's Lewis. Not a shadowhunter name but Uncle Simon didn't start out as a shadowhunter." the red head girl said. "The girls from Idris are here. Get dressed and hurry." Merrisa grabbed the other two and they left. I shut the door and used my magic to get ready. I ran out of the room because I knew if I was late Grandmother Maryse wouldn't be too happy.

"Amanda! There you are! These are the girls training with you." I looked them over. There were four girls in total. All blondes of course. And they all had runes.

"Where's her runes?" one asked.

"I don't have any yet." I said.

"Yes, not yet." Maryse said. She pointed at the girl to the far left. "This is Regina Branwell. Her mother is Lydia Branwell." She smiled at me.

"My mother and your father, Alec, are very close friends." Regina said. " I hope we can be close friends as well." I nodded. Grandmother Maryse pointed to the girl next to her.
