I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ear. 4:00 am. This is too early. But it's gonna be worth it. I sat up and looked at my best friend. She's going with me. This is the morning we leave to go to Kansas City. Boys of summer wasn't today, it's actually tomorrow but my mom is taking me and my best friend to worlds of fun. "Brooke, it's today. We're leaving today!" My best friend just looked at me. She seemed tired but whatever. We got up and got ready. We had packed the day before so we didn't have to worry about it. I answered Haley, my internet best friend who I happened to be meeting the next day. I guess I fell asleep before I answered her last night.
Brooke and I walked out to the car. We both agreed to sit in the back seat so it would be fair. The next four hours were kinda a blur. I texted Simon and Haley. I talked to Brooke. Then we fell asleep.
The next thing I know, we are stopped in a parking lot. My mom wasn't in the car. I looked around and I saw roller coasters. "Brooke! Wake up! We're at Worlds of Fun!" I grabbed her arm and shook it. She looked at me confused. "Kali, you really had to wake me up." I just smiled. At that time, my mom got back into the car and we drove to the parking lot for the amusement park. Brooke and I got out and went to the trunk. We burn easily so we had to spray ourselves with sun screen. We walked to the gate without saying much, handed the guy our tickets, and walked to the rides.
"Do you wanna ride that one first?" I looked at Brooke and she was pointing to the Mamba. "Uh ya sure. Let me tell Simon were here first." She rolled her eyes and got in line. I handed my mom my phone and joined her. The line wasn't as long as I thought it would be. We got to the front and they opened the gates. We sat down and got strapped in. Brooke and I looked at each other and nodded. I had no clue what I got myself into.
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was distracted by my ex boyfriend and Boys of summer😂 And I actually did meet Haley. Here's a pic -Britt
