"You know, you didn't have to do that." Simon was still happy about the bars I tipped. "I know. I wanted to." He put his laptop up and plugged his phone in. " I have to FaceTime my mom. Is that ok?" I nodded. "Ya I'll be quiet so I don't disturb you. I'll listen to music." Simon smiled and grabbed his phone. They talked but I couldn't really hear them. Ok I normally don't eavesdrop but I wanted to see what they were talking about. Simon moved a little and I guess Lori saw me. "Is that the cute girl you were talking about earlier?" "Mom! Don't say that too loud. She might be able to hear you." "Oh. Sorry. Are you gonna do it?" Simon looked at me and I was trying to play it off like I was looking at Instagram. "Ya, mom, I will tonight." Lori smiled. "Can I meet her?" Simon sighed. "Just don't hint about it ok?" Simon got up and tapped my bed. I took my earbuds out. "Ya?" He looked at me and then at his mom. "Mom, this is Kali. Kali, this is my mom." "Hi Mrs.Britton!" Lori laughed. "Oh please call me Lori." I smiled. "Well I'm going to bed Simon, good night and stay safe." Simon was rushing the call. "Ok night." And he hung up. He sat his phone down and walked over to me. "Did you have fun today?" I smiled like always. " It was the best day of my life." He looked down and sighed. "What's wrong Simon?" He looked up. "I don't know how to do this." I tried to act confused. "Do what?" He took my hand. "Kali, I really like you. I've never felt so attracted to anyone. I... I just... I like you. A lot. You have been there since day one. Yes I know that you have. Now, will you be mine?" I blushed and I almost screamed. "Yes, of course. But what will your supporters think?" He smiled. " If they leave me, they weren't really supporters to begin with."
