Love, Life, Death...And Blood: Chapter 3

Ace POV

            I watched as Ally was tossed over the seats and slammed into the side of the bus, Leaving a pool of blood on the floor. I strained to leave it alone as I scrambled over to her. She looked almost lifeless.

            “ALLY!”

            She tried to respond, but she didn’t have enough strength. Her loss of blood was taking her from me.

            “Ace…” her voice  was an anxious whisper. She was scared, I could see it in her eyes.

            “Ally, don’t die on me.”

            “I promise I won’t.” she tried to reach up to touch my face, but her arm fell to her side instead.

            “Ally, don’t close your eyes. Please?”

            I reached over to touch her face, brushing her cheek with my fingers. Her flesh so cold.  I looked up hearing the sirens. Great, I’m losing her and now they’re gonna take her away from me.  I pick her up carefully, taking her off the bus. I know I’m bleeding, but fortunately the blood is bleeding red rather than black like it normally would. Blood drips down Ally’s face. It smells of roses, it’s so hard for me to resist.

            Everywhere there are people. The medics, blood, tears, and possibly death cover the city street. Parents run about, trying to find their kids. Best friends looking for their besties, and lovers try to find their other halves.

“Sir?”

I look up at the man talking to me.

“Can we take her? She needs medical attention…she could die if she doesn’t receive the care that she needs.”

I looked down at Ally, her face was already paler than it was before. I look back up at him, then hand Ally to him.

“I will be coming to see her soon. I need to take care of a couple things.”

“Sure thing.” He smiled at me then took her away.

“Keep her alive. I will sue, if she dies.”

He looked back at me, with a scared look on his face.  I was so close to socking him in the face, when someone grabbed my shoulder.

“Ace…”

Chris  looked up at me, wiping blood from his face.

“Hey. You ok bro?”

“Yeah, I’m good.”

The ambulance started driving away, taking my love with it. She wouldn’t die. She promised…

A nurse walked over with a white substance in a tube in one hand and gauze in the other. I assumed it was for me, and I didn’t want it. My wounds were already almost healed She reached up, feeling my forehead. She moved my hair out of my face, rubbing some of that white stuff on my head. 

            “Ugh, stop it. I’m fine.”

 I tried to swat her hand away but she wouldn’t leave me alone. She finished wrapping the gauze around my head, walking away.

Chris was sitting there, on the ground, laughing his ass off. “That was just too funny bro!”

I glared at him, and if I had more strength, I would’ve punched him in the shoulder.

“I’m gonna go meet up with Ally at the hospital. I’ll text you later.”

“Dude, I’m going with you.”

I looked down at the ground, “Whatever. Let’s go bro.”

“You takin’ your car?”

“Uh…”

“Oh, yeah.” He pulled his keys out of his pocket, tossing them to me. “Come on, it’s not that far.” He started walking.

I stared at him for a moment, deciding if I should follow him. Then, jogged after him.
