Love, Life, Death...And Blood: Chapter 7

7:

            A tall black haired male looked up at me, his blue eyes staring me down. I rose to my feet, not realizing that I had fallen.

            “I’m sorry, sir. I was sent here on a mission…” he was a vampire. A pureblood. My hand rested on my gun.

            “Don’t be. Now get out of here.”

            “Yes, sir.”

I regretted that I even thought to take authority from him. I limped off into the woods, only to meet up with a girl. I recognized her the moment I saw her, it was the same girl. My girl. She looked up at me, then started to run.

“WAIT!” I tried running after her, only to fall face first into a tree. “Damnit.”

I looked up and she was gone, nowhere to be seen. ‘I lost her again. What can I do now?’ I stared off into the distance. I have to go find her, I have to.  I tried to stand, only falling to my knees again. I guess it didn’t matter, I was going to die sooner or later anyway.

I heard footsteps. I pulled my sword out in front of me, so I had some way to protect myself. I heard a small gasp, a few retreating steps.

“I’m sorry if I scared you…”

That girl…came back for me. Her eyes kept looking into mine, their deep endless color bleeding into mine. She pushed my hair out of my face.

“You-you didn’t scare me.” I said.

I didn’t know what to say. I was so entranced by her presence it was driving me crazy. Her hand touched my face, only enough to send shivers down my spine.

“I’m sorry if I hurt you…I just can’t see you like this.” She held her hand to my shoulder, sending an electric shock through my whole body.  I was shocked by the touch of her fingers against my skin, it was smooth yet cold at the same time.

“How…How do you know me?”

“I recognize you…” her eyes met mine for a moment before she went back to fixing my shoulder.

“I wish I knew who you were.” I said looking up at her. “I see you all the time...”

“You do?” she asked a little startled.

“Yes.”

She rose.

“I have you go.”

“Wait.” I jumped to me feet, sending my head throbbing. “Will I ever see you again?”

She looked down at her feet. “Most likely not.”

“Oh.”

“But…it was nice seeing you again.”

“Yes…can you at least tell me your name?”

“It’s---“

“Hey, what are you doing out here?”

I watched as the dark haired male approach her, laying his hand on her shoulder.

“I’m sorry, Ace. I just…I just wanted to help him.”

“Oh. Let’s go. We have to go.”

“See you around I guess.” I left them, walking away with my heart throbbing. I knew her. I just can’t think of her name…this killed me inside. I can’t believe I don’t remember her.

Ally POV

            I watched as he walked away. I wasn’t sure who he was but I recognized his face. It was driving me crazy to think that I couldn’t remember his name.  But….how did he know me? I haven’t seen him since I lost my parents. He was there…a natural born hunter. He saved my life that night. Yet, I knew that I didn’t love him.
