third person point of view;
Hayes was standing in the kitchen, preparing dinner for his husband while he was at work. Hayes turned up the music that played from his phone. The song switched from a hit pop song to Let it go by James Bay. Hayes smiled and blushed. This was his and Aaron's song.
He remembers dancing with Aaron at his wedding, sleeping beside each other with this soft song playing, kissing while playing countless board games on a rainy day, and making love to Aaron. Hayes stirred the pasta slowly, smiling softly while hearing the front door open quietly.
Aaron and Hayes lived together on a small ranch in a farm landscape. The two loves the breeze and the old vibe the land gave off. Their house wasn't a mansion, yet, it was big. It fit the two perfectly, maybe they even had too much house space. The two were so happy with their lives.
Aaron wrapped his arms around Hayes, kissing his cheek. Hayes leaned back onto him, removing the wooden spoon from the boiling pasta. He turned around, smiling at his husband. Aaron massaged his cheek, holding out his hand.
"May I have this dance?" Aaron whispered, bowing at Hayes.
Hayes giggled, curtsying at Aaron.
"Yes, your majesty."
Aaron smiled as Hayes wrapped his arms around his neck. Aaron placed his hands on Hayes' waist as the two began to ball dance around the kitchen, giggles and smiles present the entire time. Aaron picked Hayes up and twirled him around, Hayes' legs going around his waist.
Hayes laughed, connecting his lips to Aaron's. Aaron smiled into the kiss.
"Let me make my pasta and then we are cuddling."
"Bossy much?" Aaron joked, kissing his lips before dropping Hayes to his feet.
Hayes smiled, going back to his pasta. Aaron wrapped his arms around Hayes' waist. Aaron massaged his waist while kissing his neck softly. Hayes removed the spoon and turned to Aaron. Aaron smiled, pressing his lips to Hayes'.
Hayes smiled, wrapping his arms around Aaron's neck. Aaron stroked Hayes' back.
"I love you," Aaron whispered.
"I love you, too."
They entangled into another soft kiss.
~
Hayes rested his head on Aaron's chest as the two laid in their bed. Hayes snuggled into Aaron's chest, intertwining their fingers together. It began to rain, relaxing the two even more. Hayes watched the raindrops hit the window. Aaron reached to the end of the bed where a soft blanket was folded up. He unfolded it and brought it over the two, Hayes pulling it up to his face. He rested his upper body, including his head and shoulders, onto Aaron's chest. Aaron laid back as him and his husband were rocked to sleep by the rain.
~
Hayes woke up after Aaron squirmed while spooning him. He turned around, facing an asleep Aaron. He gently kissed Aaron's cheek before standing up. He went to the bathroom and began to brush his teeth. He washed his face to wake him up more. Hayes exited the room quietly so he wouldn't wake Aaron up. He went downstairs to the kitchen. He went into the fridge and grabbed some waffles that you can heat up in the microwave. He put them on a plate and placed them into the microwave. He grabbed the milk from the fridge, placing it on the counter.
