Part Three

After a long night's sleep, the girls woke well rested in Camila's home in Miami; Camila and Lauren slept together in Camila's room, and Dinah slept in the guest room. The night before was quite exhausting for the three, and they slept almost immediately after their heads hit the pillows.

The long night of catching up really tired the girls out; it started with the family going out to dinner (with Lauren and Dinah as well, of course,) then the group came back home to play board games and watch movies, and finally, Camila, Dinah, and Lauren talked to Sofi until she fell asleep as per her request.

Lauren was the first to wake up, not used to not being in her own home. Since it was relatively early, and everyone else was asleep, she decided to sit and read the book she brought with her for a bit.

About five or six pages into her reading, Lauren decided she was too distracted by Camila to read, so she sat and watched her girlfriend curled up in a peaceful sleep instead. Lauren smiled as the corners of Camila's lips twitched into a smile as she dreamed and she wondered what her girl was dreaming about. She also studied the girl's facial features: her soft and wavy dark-brown hair, her cute button nose, her full pink lips, her high and defined cheekbones, and her sun-kissed skin. Sure, Camila was pretty when Lauren first knew her, but puberty hit the girl like a truck.

Lauren sighed, wondering how she got so lucky to have a beautiful girlfriend like hers. Sure, Camila may be hot, but she also had such a beautiful mind, which Lauren prioritized over everything. As a deep, wise thinker, Lauren needed someone like herself to talk to, and Camila was just that. Camila was so interested in the little things like the world around her and the good of humanity, and Lauren found that so fascinating. They may have rushed into their relationship, but time didn't matter to Lauren with the small things; if Lauren really feels a connection with a person, she'll have the ability to treat the person like she's known them for years. Now, if Camila had proposed, that would've clearly been another story. Or, maybe, they did rush into things.

Lauren decided she was too lost in her thoughts and managed to snap herself out of them rather quickly. She realized that she had been staring into Camila's closed eyes for a good ten minutes, making it 9:55. She yawned and reached down to brush a few stray strands of hair out of the younger girl's face. 'It's not too early, is it?' The raven-haired girl pondered; she really wanted her girlfriend to wake up so she could kiss her. 'Eh, what's the worst that can happen?'

Lauren leaned down slowly and kissed her girlfriend softly, just enough to wake her up a little. Soon enough, Lauren felt the girl kiss back, "mmm, morning," Camila mumbled into Lauren's lips, eyes still closed.

Lauren pulled back and cupped the sleepy girl's cheeks, "morning, my love."

Lauren thought of her earlier thoughts and decided to ask Camila something that's been on her mind for a while, "Camzi?"

"Lo?" Camila smiled sleepily, bringing her hand to the small of Lauren's back.

Lauren sighed, eyebrows furrowed, "you, uh... you don't think we rushed into our relationship too fast, do you?"

"Of course not, babe. Technically we've known each other for nine years, that's plenty of time, don't 'cha think?" Camila rubbed Lauren's back.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I was just thinking too much," Lauren sighed.

"It's okay, love. It's not like we've done anything giant the past three days, anyway, so I see where you're coming from. Consider these past few days the

'getting-to-know-each-other-but-not-dating-just-yet stage'," Camila nodded in thought. "With that said," Camila sat up and cleared her throat, taking Lauren's hands, "Lauren Jauregui, will you go to dinner with me at my favorite Miamian restaurant tonight? On a date?"
