Chapter 8: dinner with the queen

I was so nervous about lanes I sent her off with the queen of hearts oh how stupid Am I sigh.. I hope she is alright, I wonder what the queen has done, I just don't wanna see the white queen....

Laneys p.o.v

So it is the evening time I'm a nervous wreck because I have to eat dinner with the queen herself I hope she doesn't find out I'm Laney, at least I have her fooled for now "Lilly come on and junk!!" The queen called. I stepped out of the guest room wearing the outfit I found in her closet, i walked down a large staircase with the ends of the dress following from behind I peeked my head through the door and there was the queen sitting at a table with loads of weird looking food "come don't be like shy take a seat" the queen said. I took a seat at the other end of the table sweating of nervousness "so are you dating the Cheshire Cat and junk?" The queen asked. I started blushing a slight bit "me, no..." I said. "You two like seemed like it" the queen said stuffing some weird dead bird into her mouth. I grabbed a purple apple and awkwardly tried eating it, to be honest it wasn't that bad "so who is the white queen exactly?" I asked. "Some spoiled brat that I hate she isn't related to me though.." He queen said. "Oh I see." I said picking up a twisty looking fork. I picked up a harmless looking chicken wing with it and ate it properly like I normally do "I am kinda full I better be getting some rest.." I said. "Okay and junk.." The queen said. I got up from the chair and walked to the guest room I stared out the window and looked at the moon and started singing quietly:

Then I heard clapping from across the room I looked behind and saw a large smile spread across the wall "core!" I whispered shouted. "Lanes!" He whispered shouted back to. I hugged him tightly, he hugged back. "Lanes I had to come see you.." Core whispered as he smiled normally. I smiled back "you look Nice.." He complimented. "Thanks.." I smiled. "Thanks for this necklace by the way.." I said. "Your welcome.." He said. We looked at each other for a bit "core, will you stay with me tonight?" I asked. "Of course lanes" core said. Then he Laid down on the floor like a cat instead of sleeping on the bed I rested my head on him and we both slept calmly.
