Cursed (Kyo Love Story)

Intro

My name is Akira Tanaka. My parents died when I was little, but my uncle took me in as his own. It's different than what I'm used to, probably cause of my 'illness'.

It's not an illness really, that's just what he calls it. Ever since I was a little girl I have been cursed. It's not really bad, but a certain time of the year I can't go around people.

You see, I can turn into an animal. A tiger to be exact. Well on the second full moon in winter I actually become a tiger, and I have to be locked away so I don't hurt anyone.

Yeah, it's not bad. I like being a tiger, but there's just no one who wouldn't freak out. I mean come on, a girl who turns into a tiger? How weird would that be?

Anyway, I only turn into a tiger if I'm under a lot of stress or I'm angry. Sometimes I can do it at will but not very often.

The bad thing about my curse, there's always a wolf somewhere around me. Mom said it was the animal spirits. Dad liked to scare me and tell me the wolf wanted to kill me. He always scarred me but I loved him.

"Akira, it's time for school!" My uncle yells from downstairs.

"Coming!" I yell back. I run out of my room once I have my school bag and l run into my cousin. We both fall to the ground only I am laying across him.

"Get off me!" He pushes me off roughly. His shove causes me to hit my head on the wall.

I forgot to mention that my cousin, Kai, is also cursed. But he turns into a bear, it's where he gets his anger issues and aggressive behavior. Only thing is, he isn't followed around by any other animal.

"Ow!" I kick his leg hard rubbing my head. "That was rude Kai!"

"Well maybe if you'd watch where you're going, that would not have happened." He stands up and brushes himself off. His black school uniform makes him look even paler against his ivory skin. His hair does the same thing since he has Raven colored hair.

"I'm sorry." I sigh. "Help me up?"

He puts his hand out for me. When I take it, he gives a hard pull bringing me to my feet. "We're gonna be late if we don't hurry."

"Eh, I don't really care!" I shrug but follow him down the stair.

I'm not big on being forced to do something, like going to school. There are some good qualities about a co-Ed school versus where my uncle was going to send me, so I can't really complain much.

"Alright well I guess I'm gonna have to tell that Orange Top Cat Lover why you aren't there then." He looks back at me and grins evilly. "Hmm.... maybe you're so sick it's coming out both ends!"

I gasp and smack him on the back of the head. "If you do it Kai, I will personally make sure you don't get any dessert for a month!"

"So you're coming to school then?" Kai smiles knowing he's won.

I sigh and nod. "Yeah, I don't have anything better to do."
