Cursed (Kyo Love Story)

Bad Idea

Uncle made us take Azusa to dinner with the Sohmas. I can just feel it in my gut that something he does is going to make me mad and I'm gonna change. But sadly when uncle says we have to take him.... we have too.

I walk up to the Sohma house smiling when I see Kyo sitting on the porch. "Hey."

He looks at Azusa then back to me with an eyebrow raised. I shake my head not wanting to talk about it. "I'm glad you came."

I smile, "I wasn't going to let Tohru down!"

That's actually not the reason I came. Tohru isn't a bad person, she's quite nice really, but for some reason I don't like her. So I didn't come for her, I came for Kyo.

"Tohru is almost done, come inside." Kyo tugs on my arm to motion me in. I look back at Kai and Azu, so far so good.

Once we enter the house a dark haired man with reading glasses on lowers his newspaper. His eyes scan over me a moment to long for my liking.

"You must be Akira Tanaka! I'm Shigure, Yuki and Kyo's older, and more attractive cousin." He says standing up to greet us. "An who are the fine gentlemen with you Miss Akira?"

"These are my cousins Kai and Azusa." I gesture to them as I say their names.

"Please come in and sit down, I'm sure Tohru is done now." Shigure smiles at me.

I lead Kai over to the table to sit next to me, Kyo on my other side. Azusa sits at the end of the table next to Kai.

Beside me I feel Kyo's knee brush mine and look down at it. At the same time as I looked down, Kyo does as well and then I look up to his face. A blush rises to my cheeks as Kyo slowly looks at me.

"Dinners ready!" Tohru comes in carrying the dishes of food.

I look away from Kyo but I can feel his gaze. "It looks great Tohru."

"Wait till you try it!" Shigure smiles.

While we were all eating Shigure kept asking us questions, Azusa was the one who tried answering all of them. I caught Azu's eyes every once in awhile and can tell by the way he's trying not to smile that he's planning something.

"Tohru tells me that you are quite good when it comes to martial arts Akira." Shigure looks up from his dinner at me.

"Well the three of us grew up with martial arts." Azusa answers, "Akira took awhile to learn the basics, and would give up half way through most of the time."

I clench my hand that lays on my leg into a fist trying to ignore him. "I was only six Azusa, nobody expected a six year old to be perfect at something like that."

"You only took it because you were tired of kids picking on you! About you're unnatural colour of your hair. About you're anger issues." Azusa keeps a grin off his face.

"Shut up." I growl towards him.

"What you don't want to be embarrassed in front of Kyo, he already knows you like him." He smiles when Kyo looks at me sort of surprised. "Well I guess he didn't."

"Azusa she said shut up!" Kai steps in.

Everyone was watching us, I couldn't take it. I had to get somewhere I won't hurt anyone. Quickly I stand up and go to walk away.

"That's just like you Akira, walking away from a fight you know you could possibly win!" Azusa yells to my back. "It's pathetic!"

"Shut the hell up before I make it to where you can't talk!" I yell back. "When will you learn to stop talking like you can control me. I'm tired of you going after Kai, I hate you being here, and I hate this life!"

Now everyone was watching just me.

"You need to calm down!" Kai stood up walking over to me but I stop him when the anger turns my stomach.

"Oh no." I whisper. "I have to go!"

Kyo stands also walking over but Kai grabs his arm. "Don't!"

"Let me go!" Kyo rips his arm away from Kai just as I let out a scream.

My legs give out and I fall to my knees. My body start to sting in pain as I turn. I'm turning right there in front of everyone. Kyo's eyes are wide watching me turn, but he's not scarred.

I'm stand before everyone on the porch as a full sized tiger, Kai isn't looking at me and Azusa is smirking. My clothes I wore here shredded around me.

"She'll be like this for a good hour, but she's going to need clothes." Kai tells Kyo. He nods and walks back into the house. When he comes back he has clothes in his hand.

Kyo walks off the porch and towards a rock to my right. Laying the clothes on that rock he looks at me. I can tell by his eyes he's not scarred, but almost in pain. He looks straight at my eyes, there the same colour as when I'm in human form. Then he walks away, back in the house. Shigure, Yuki, and Tohru all go back inside as well.

Kai walks up to me and rubs my head. "We're gonna head home okay. I explain to Uncle what happened." He drops to his knees and hugs me. "You should talk to Kyo once you change back."

I lay my head down on his back, he knows I can understand him. I just can't talk back.

I knew if Azusa came tonight this would happen. I knew it was a bad idea from the start.
