Carl's P.O.V
Then something.I'm pushed out of the heavy nothingness.
My eyes flutter. A bright white light attacks my eyes. I lay there for another minute, mustering up the power to open my eyes again. And I do. All I can see is a bright light. When my eyes adjust to the brightness, the world appears to be tipped over on its side. I look around and see bodies strewn around, laying in awkward positions.
Enid's laying near me. Unaware of what I'm doing, my hand reached out to move the hair out of her face.
I try speaking to her: nothing.
All I hear is air expelling from my throat.
I try again. Nothing.
Again. Nothing.
Again. Something.
"Enid?"
No answer. I try leaning up, but my head begins to throb even worse.
What ever I'm laying on shifts, I look to see what it is. Not "what ever" but "who ever." I'm laying on Maggie.
I gotta get up. I roll off of her, landing in between her and Enid. Then I remember what happened. We were attacked by walkers..
Shit.. Walkers!
I lean up, fighting off the throbbing in my head. Quickly I look around: the windshield has a huge crack in it, the window the RV and everyone else landed on is smashed completely, and the windows above us have holes in them, littering glass all over us. None of us are in danger of being grabbed by a walker.
Dad and Michonne lay closest to the windshield, Michonne lying on Dad. The rest of us are in the same area, piled on top of each other. I have a big knot on the side of my head from where I must've hit it, along with a few cuts from the shattered glass.
_________
Walkers liter the ground around us; they must have been trampled by the others during the herd.
"What now?" Carol asks.
"I don't know.." Dad says almost in a whisper.
"We'll have to travel on foot," Michonne deduces.
"Are we close enough to make it there on foot before dark?" Sasha asks.
"I can't be sure," Dad answers.
Glenn and Maggie are sitting down against the tipped over RV. Maggie's feeling sick.
"Dad, about Negan. Did you know him before he attacked Alexandria?"
That question has been burning inside of me for awhile now.
Dad looks at me for a minute before answering.
"Yes. I made a deal with Gregory that I would take care of Negan in return for supplies. But then I learned he had you and I knew I couldn't kill him, not if I wanted you back alive. So I chose getting you back home safely over killing him and receiving food. That's why our relationship with The Hilltop isn't all that reliable."
"Let's make the relationship reliable then," I pause before continuing, "I'm back, so he's as good as dead now."

I'm posting two chapters today because they're both on the shorter side. Hope you enjoy!
