"Adam where in the world are we going?" you asked.

"It's a surprise." he said you putting a blind fold on you.

"You know I hate surprises." you told him.

"(Y/N), I know but I think you'll like this one." Adam said.

"I hope so." you huffed.

Adam had made you dress up and he wore a suit so you really were confused because you both really like casual dates not the fancy kind. Adam led you to the car and it seemed like I long time until you arrived at your destination. He opened your door and led you down a gravel path. He took the blindfold off you and you couldn't believe where you were.

"Adam what is all this for?" you asked tearing up.

"Can't treat my lady once in a while." he smiled.

Adam had taken you to the park where you two met because of your dogs getting off their leashes and the two of you collided (literally). But this time you were sat at a table surrounded by gorgeous flowers and twinkly lights with a delicious dinner on the table. 

"Are you alright?" you asked Adam noticing that he barley touched his dinner and his hands were shaking.

"No, (Y/N), no I'm not okay. I'm nervous because of the future." Adam said and you became very confused.

Adam got up from the table and left you utterly confused. Before he got too far from you, you decided to run after him.

"What's going on, Adam? Did I do something?" you asked.

Instead of him talking he turned away from you and kept walking. You caught up and got a hold on his arm.

"Please, look at me." you begged.

Adam started talking, "Ummm... where do I begin." he cleared his throat his hands still shaking.

"(Y/N), you are the light of my life and I would give up this hockey life if you asked me to. That's how much I love you. You have brought so much joy into my life and have helped me through so much in my NHL career. I don't think that I could've done it all without you. You are my rock and I don't ever want to be with anyone else." Adam said.

He got down on one knee, pulled out a small box and said, "(Y/N), will you do my the honor of becoming my wife?" he opened the box to reveal the most beautiful ring you'd ever seen.

"Yes! Yes! Yes Adam a thousand yes's." you squealed.

Adam stood up and engulfed you in his arms and then kissed you.

"You had me so worried I thought that you were going to breakup with me." you admitted.

"(Y/N), I would never do that to you." he rubbed a thumb on your cheek.

"Good." you laughed.

"This is the best day of my life so far and I know now that every day for here on out will only get better." Adam told you.

"I can't wait to start our forever together."
