"In a way

We were floating

On the backs of others

Wishing and dreaming while the other just wanted to be free

Prejudice as pride

Discrimination as desire

The superiority to find peace for your aching heart,

So we recited words

A broken battle cry

And we chose our face so we could mask and hide

But we gained nothing.

The hurt of others was poison but they drank it

And flourished when they turned to ash

Chocking on the coal they shared it

When they didn't want to share anything else

So bask in the blood swim in the flood

You wished the best for yourself

And left the world behind"
