I sit by the balcony watching bugs dance upside down defying my gravity
Watching lights glimmer and spark
I hear distant words jump from people's mouths like frogs from water
Dragging a finger along the rocky wall I'm reminded about what I've lost
Broken shards of glass lie violent on the floor
Hauntings of dead eyes and drunken lullabys
I can't sleep
My eyes are wide
My mouth in a line
I can't breathe
It's as if I were once something I can never get back
No dreaming of arms to save me

The stars whine about their imperfections
