Chapter one: How It Began

Hi, my name is Harry Edward Styles and today Im going to tell you a story. Is a story about love, struggling with who you are and overcoming the challenges in life and above all, accepting yourself.

The story began when i was 16 years old and auditioned for the reality show, the X Factor. I was very excited that i was so close to make my dream come true. My dream of being a famous singer. 

I passed the first round and then, I met him. As soon as I saw him, he impressed me, he was so handsome with his green bright eyes, brown hair and a gorgeous smile. In this moment in my life, I already knew who I was. I knew I was gay but I still wasnt out of the closet... I didnt want anyone to know about it, at least not yet... 

- Hi! - he said to me

- Hi! - I replied

- I'm Louis

- Nice to meet you Louis, I'm Harry.

- Nervous?

- A little. You think we are going to passed?

- I dont know. im so nervous.

- I'm sure you will do fine.

- Thanks

That was our first conversation. After that, we became the group One Direction, along with Liam, Niall and Zayn, well you know the rest of the story...

The thing is that, when I was in the X Factor, i started to develop a very strong friendship with Louis. We connected since the first moment, I felt like I knew him since my whole life. My feelings for him, became stronger and I knew deep in my heart, this wasnt a friendship anymore, I was falling in love with this guy, but i didnt know if it was mutual? How could i know if he was gay or not? He never told me...

So, one day, we were talking,  just joking and making fun about the others guys in the competition and I felt like I had to tell him.

- Louis... i dont know if this happens to you but i feel like....i know you from a long time ago.

- Yeah, me too. Its like we have a very strong connection.

- Exactly. But...i dont know how to say this

- Whats wrong?

- Its just that....i dont think i see you as a friend....

- What do you mean?

- Just forget it, never mind..

- No, Harry, please, tell me

- I dont want to lose your friendship...

- You wont, just tell me 

- You promise that you wont stop talking to me?

- I promise

- Louis... i think im falling in love with you

- OMG Harry! are you serious?

- Yes , please dont judge me!

- Harry.... I think im falling for you too

- Really?

- Yes!! the thing is that... i never realized i was gay until i met you

- Well, i have known Im gay for a while but never really felt this way for a guy before

- So, what do you think we should do?

My hand slowly reached Louis hand and I started touching it with my fingers. He looked at me and smile and then grabbed my hand firmly.

- I think... we should date - i said

- What about the competition? do you think the people would see right that we are gays?

- I dont think so, but they dont have to know about us

- So, we would keep it as a secret for now?

- Exactly

Louis smiled again and got closer to me, giving me a kiss on the lips. It was our first kiss! and i could feel the butterflies going crazy in my stomach.

I was so in love with him and i was happy that i was there in the competition with him, i didnt care anymore if i win or not, but i already won something so much better than any competition, i won the love of an amazing guy.

We tried so hard to keep our love as secret but sometimes,  we couldnt help ourselves. We couldnt help to touch each other, to hug each other, even kiss each other in front of the cameras... but i didnt care anymore...
