Chapter 2: A Confession

The competition was over and well you know what happened, we didnt win the X Factor but we still got signed by Syco Music. We started recording our first album and started touring around Europe.

One of those nights on tour... Louis and I decided that it was time to came out to the other guys. I think they all have their suspections but we trust these guys now and we are going to be together for a long time, so, we didnt want to hide our love from them.

We were in a hotel room.

- So, Harry and I have something important to tell you guys

- That you guys are gays? - said Liam

- Ermm yes... how did you know? - Louis asked

- I think is a little bit obvious lol

- Yeah since the house in the X Factor , we knew there were something between you two - said Zayn

- Really? wow! and what you guys think?

- We support you of course - said Niall

- Exactly, love is love, if you love each other then we will stand by your side and support you, no matter what- said Liam while the other guys nodded.

- Wow, thanks so much guys!

I was so relieved that the other boys were okay with our relationship. Since that moment, Louis and I started asking for rooms just for us. The management still didnt know about our relationship but i was afraid, they were suspecting something.

When the tour was over. Some people from the management, called me for a meeting, I thought i was something related to the album but when i got there, only Louis was there.

- Boys, we have reunited you here because there are some concerns that we have as your managers..

OMG, they knew, they knew!! we are screwed!  that was my first thought... i was so nervous, so afraid that they would kick us out the band for finding out that we were gays.

- What concerns? - asked Louis

He just couldnt  stay silent, not like me, i stay quiet...

- We have been told that you asked for private rooms just for the two of you, that you have sneaked out from the hotel at night... what its going on between you two?

- Nothing its going on, we are just having fun like normal teenagers...

- I think you know what im talking about Louis... are you two gays?

- What if we are?

- Its that a yes?

- Well, yes, we are! we are gays and we love each other, what is so wrong with that?

- You cant! you cant be gays, not when you are in a popular boy band

- Why not?

- 99% of your fans, are what? girls!! girls that dream to date you, if you revealed to them that that you are gay, you are going to crush their dreams. They are not  going to be your fans anymore!

- So, what do you want us to do?

- Beards...

- What?! - I asked

- Hire beards. Beards are pretty girls that we are going to hire to pass for your girlfriends. They are going to walk holding hands with you in fashion shows, movie premieres, all the public events. They are going to be phographers everywhere taking pictures of you, you know, just publicity.

- I dont want to do that - i said firmly

- If you cant have a beard then you have to remain single, just to give some hope to those girls...

- I can be the gay in the group, i have no problem with that - I insisted

I didnt want to hide my sexual orientation. Not anymore..

- NO Harry!! everyone but you!! you are the most popular one in the group, you cant be gay! that would ruin the whole image of the group!!

- I will do the beard thing - said Louis 

- Are you sure? - I asked

- Yeah, i mean, how hard can be to pretend to date a pretty girl?

I was worried... i mean, i knew he was in love with me but... what if he falls for this girl? he told he was gay but he only realized it when he met me, so i guess he dated girls in the past...

- Perfect!! - said the mate from the Management - you are going to start dating her publicly after the release of the album, got it?

- Sure! no problem 

Louis seems calm but i knew he was upset about it...

- Well, then i will stay single, i can be the ladies man  the group you know, the one, all the girls want....

- Now thats a good image. The heartbreaker, the irresistible guy. Im sure you guys are going to do it fine and remember its for the sake of the band. Its your careers, and if you want to be succesful in this industry, you have to make some sacrificies and work very hard.

- Yeah we know...

I got home and decided that it was time to came out to my mother.  Fortunately, she took it well. She told me, she suspects something but was waiting for me to say something. I was happy that my mum was so supporting.

That night, I called Louis.

- Are you okay? - I asked

- Yeah, I am. Just thinking about all this stuff we talked today with the management...

- What have you thought?

- I think they are right, if we want to success , we have to make the sacrifices, right?

- True, but that doesnt mean we have to break up, right?

- Of course not, we just will have to hide it a lot more...

- This sucks... i dont want to hide

- I know it does, but we have no choice Harry. We are in the band already, we have  a contract and i dont want to lose my job, i love my job.

- I love my job but i love you more.

- I love you too Harry, we are going to be okay, I promise. Nothing will separate us.

- What about that beard?

- What with her?

- What if you fall in love with her?

- That is not going to happen!! first, she is not going to be really my girlfriend, just pretend, like an actress, second, i dont like girls anymore, i only have eyes for you, no one else, okay? i only love you!!

- I know, okay, its just that, its going to suck to see you holding hands with another person.

- I know but when you see us, just remember how strong our love is, okay?

- Okay...

Well...it happened. The management hired some model, her name was Christina Calder but she was going to use a subname to be Louis's girlfriend and call herself, Eleanor. I had to admit, the girl was so beautiful, i was starting to get really jealous.
