Spectrum (AppleDash fanfic)

"Oh my" Fluttershy moaned softly under Rainbow Dash.

Her little body trembled and small noise erupted in her throat and moisture dripped down Fluttershy's thighs and Dash's fingers. She climbed off the pale frame and sighed softly;her hand brushed Fluttershy's petite breast,and the pasty girl's cheeks flushed soft pink. Emotionless,Rainbow Dash laid beside her as they settled back on the bed,and turned on her side with her back facing her without a word. Fluttershy always came early,but Dash usually just dealt with it. This time,a slight annoyance struck her,and she closed her eyes and tried to sleep without acknowledging her partner laid beside her.Fluttershy spoke up,somewhat picking up on Dash's abrupt actions. Usually they at least snuggled or said goodnight.

"Rainbow,dear...are..you alright?" she asked cautiously.

"Fine..." Dash said not opening an eye. "Just tired from training today."

Fluttershy knew she was lying,but was too timid to speak up.She merely scooted closely to her and pushed her body against her,her cheek resting on Dash's bare back and fingertips in her rainbow hair.

"Dash..." Fluttershy whispered

"Yeah?' she answered before Fluttershy could continue.

"I-I love you" she replied softly.

"Love you too..." she said.

She questioned if she meant what she said though....Dash couldn't expand on the subject much more before she slipped into slumber.

Waking up,Rainbow Dash seen Fluttershy's spot was empty,but before she'd gotten up she'd put her side of the sheets over her.A familiar smell entered her nose.Fluttershy was cooking.She rose from the bed,and pulled on some boxers and a tank top discarded on the floor to cover her nude body.

Reaching the doorway of the kitchen,she seen Fluttershy flipping an omelet. Her bunny,Angel,was free from its cage,along with the song birds she'd rescued last week who tweeted happily,while a few nibbled at some birdseed in a feeder.

"Good morning,Rainbow Dash," greeted Fluttershy sweetly. "How'd you sleep?"

Rainbow took a seat at the counter,"Alright." she answered simply and reached for a plate with an omelet on it.

"Oh no,that's mine,unless you like egg and cheese substitute." Fluttershy said making an attempt at an awkward joke."Here's yours.I figured I'd make it second so it'd be warm when you woke up"

Fluttershy pushed the omelet onto a plate,and slid it in Rainbow Dash's direction followed by the salt,pepper,and hot sauce.She then poured Dash some orange juice and pushed a plate of fried potatoes in her direction too.

"Thanks,babe," said Dash and dug hungrily into the omelet.

Fluttershy let out a small half smile,and put the animals away in their cages before washing her hands and sitting beside Rainbow Dash to eat her own breakfast.She gave her a quick peck on cheek and proceeded to put ketchup on her potatoes. Dash kept her eyes on her plate,and didn't react much to Fluttershy's show of affection.

After she finished the last gulp of her juice,she took her dishes to the sink and began to wash them. She hummed softly as the hot water slightly scalded her hands as she wiped away the residue of what was left of the food.

She rounded the corner to the bathroom for a shower. Dash's mind was numb.Why did she feel so distant towards her supposed to be beloved partner Fluttershy? She'd defended her all through high school,before and after people picked on her for being a lesbian.She'd been the one who came over everyday after school and comforted her,wiped her tears,and even made love to her. Why was she acting so cold she wondered as she turned the knobs to a squeak and stopped the steamy water overhead.
