Jongdae worried about what would happen when he returned to his husband.
it's been a while since Minseok drove off and he told Jongdae he'd call when he got home.
curious as to what was going on, Jongdae went to his new room and grabbed his phone.
like the idiot he was, his finger was off so he couldn't hear the phone.
he had 20 missed calls and 45 texts from Minseok. not wanting to go through and read, he called him back.
"Hello? Minseok, why'd you call so much?" Jongdae asked when he answered.
"I left. I left him. I don't know what to do. I'm all alone and I'm scared."
Jongdae was speechless.
"why did you leave him?"
"I don't want to talk about it right now. but I need to go somewhere. I swear, please let me stay with you. I'll buy my own food and everything. I'll be out of the way. I can't go home just yet." Minseok pleaded.
Jongdae bit his lip, unsure of what his mother would think. there were no other rooms in the house, so they'd have to share. of course, Jongdae didn't mind that."
"I'll ask my mom"
Jongdae set his phone down, going to the living room.
"hey mommmyyy" Jongdae cooed happily.
"what are you about to ask for?"
Jongdae laughed and continued.
"so my friend needs a place to stay. can he stay here?"
she scooted her round glasses up and looked at her son
"where will he sleep?"
"we can share. it's a king sized bed so it's enough space."
"do you like this boy?"
"whaaa? noooo. of course not. why would I like him? that's crazy, mummy. so can he?"
she sighed, "I guess. I don't mind."
Jongdae practically squealed.
he ran back to his phone and picked it up again.
"you can stay here!" he said happily, causing Minseok to actually smile in one of his darkest moments.
"thank you. I just need to stay until I can find an apartment and deal with the divorce I'm going to file for."
Jongdae went silent.
"d-divorce?" he questioned in disbelief.
Minseok sighed on the other end, "yes, divorce. I'll explain when I get there. see you soon."
the line went dead and Jongdae started to worry more.
'he's actually filing for divorce? he just told me he couldn't yet. he just said that he would choose to continue his cheating.' Jongdae thought.
he paced around his room, making sure it was all clean from his unpacking from earlier.
he cleared two of the dresser drawers for Minseok and he had plenty of closet space.
he heard the doorbell ring and he felt 10 times more nervous, if even possible.
he walked out of his room and down the hall to see Minseok greeting his mother.
"oh, hey Jongdae." Minseok smiled as he came into view.
"you're welcome to stay as long as you need, Dear. Jongdae will show you around the house once you're settled." his mother said to Minseok. he thanked her and Jongdae smiled.
while the two boys walked into Jongdae's room, Jongdae's mom started to prepare dinner.
"your moms cooking smells delicious." Minseok smiled.
Jongdae loved that Minseok and his mother were getting along already.
he wasn't surprised that his mom would be swooning over his friend.
Minseok put his clothes in the drawers that Jongdae offered.
Jongdae laid on the bed, surfing through his social media's.
he saw Minseok looking around the room and pacing.
"are you okay?" Jongdae asked, looking up.
"I'm just a little anxious right now, that's all." Minseok forced a smile and Jongdae could tell.
Jongdae sighed and stood up, walking over to the pacing boy.
Jongdae stopped him from walking around more and engulfed him in a hug to soothe him down.
"everything will be okay." Jongdae whispered.
then, he could hear Minseok start to cry into him. Minseok hid his face in Jongdae's neck so he wouldn't see him.
Jongdae rubbed Minseok's back as he cried to make him feel better.
"boys! dinners ready! stop fucking and start eating!"
Jongdae coughed in embarrassment and broke from the hug.
he smiled sadly at Minseok and wiped a few tears from his cheeks.
"c'mon, let's go eat away your pain."
