Minseok was awoken by Jongdae picking him up and taking him to the bedroom. of course, he pretended to be asleep still.

he loved the kind gesture.

he was still freaked out over those scary movies they watched.

he felt the bed beneath him and a blanket pulled over him.

then, he felt the bed sink at the other side and he quickly wrapped his arm around Jongdae's stomach.

Jongdae laid on his back while Minseok cuddled up next to him.

Jongdae put his arm around Minseok and they both felt a warmth in their stomach.

Minseok was confused. he had never felt butterflies for anyone other than Luhan. and when him and Luhan do this, he doesn't feel butterflies at all.

shaking the thought out of his mind, they heard a boom of loud thunder outside and Minseok cuddled closer, if it was even possible.

"goodnight, Minseok."

"goodnight, Jongdae"

---

the next morning, Minseok woke up to dozens of texts and missed calls from Luhan.

feeling guilty, he got out of Jongdae's bed that they've shared for two nights.

it was still rainy out and he guessed that Luhan was worried.

he stepped out in the hall and called his boyfriend.

he picked up almost right away.

"where have you been?!" he heard from the other end.

"I'm sorry. I've been at a friends house. I'll come home today."

"thank you. I miss you. also, I have a surprise for you. come home soon. I love you."

Minseok paused, "I love you too. goodbye."

he went back into Jongdae's lonely, quiet apartment and sat on the couch.

Jongdae came out of the bathroom and sat across from Minseok.

"do you need an umbrella to get home?"

"I think I'll be okay, thank you. can I ask you something?"

"sure"

"why do you live alone?"

"my mom moved to Busan for work and I stayed in Seoul for Yixing." he answered easily. "I really miss Yixing..."

Minseok stood up, bent down, and hugged Jongdae.

"it'll get better. I promise. I know it's still hard, but things can always get better. and if it doesn't, blame me because I was the one who promised it would."

Jongdae felt a warmth in his heart.

Jongdae nodded and Minseok broke the embrace.

"we can hang out again soon. I'll text you." he smiled as he exited Jongdae's apartment.

he slipped on one of Jongdae's sweatshirts that he was borrowed.

he kept the hood up and he walked in the rain, back to the house him and his boyfriend shared.

when he arrived, he entered the house expecting to be yelled at again by Luhan but he was given a warm welcome.

Luhan's family was quite rich and so they paid for them to have a house. Minseok always tried to insist on paying half but they always refused. they send Luhan to the best business college in town to become a very successful lawyer and Minseok is still in high school.

Minseok's family is very poor and so they jumped at the opportunity to get their son in a better living environment.

Luhan greeted Minseok at the door with a big hug.

Minseok now remembered why he loved Luhan in the first place.

Luhan made him feel at home and safe. he was his only friend at the job they both had for a while.

they both worked at as cashiers at one of the most expensive stores.

Luhan worked there for the clothes, Minseok worked for the money.

eventually, the store closed down and what's left of it is the relationship of the two opposite boys.

Minseok loves Luhan, and he always will. he knows it. but ever since Jongdae happened, he's been second guessing. him and Jongdae are really close. but his heart is stuck with Luhan.

of course, that doesn't mean he feels nothing for the younger boy.

he definitely feels something. he knows he does.

"go get cleaned up. remember, I have a surprise for you." Luhan smiled, pulling back from the hug and giving his boyfriend a quick kiss on the lips before skipping into the living room.

Minseok went upstairs to the bathroom and turned the shower on. slipping off the wet clothes, Minseok instantly felt warmer than the cold rain water.

he got into the shower and let the relaxing warm water run over his body.

after he washed his hair, body and face, he turned off the water and wrapped a white towel around his waist.

he shook his head to get water out of his hair and went to the bedroom, which was connected to the bathroom.

he saw clothes laid out on the bed.

a dark grey suit, a light pink dress shirt, black dress shoes and a black tie. he also saw a pair of his underwear next to it with an orange sticky note attached.

"you don't have to wear this pair, but it's my favourite on you :)"

Minseok smiled at the note and put on the underwear that were laid out. he got dressed into the clothes his boyfriend picked and returned to the bathroom to do his hair.

he blow dried his hair and slicked the front up slightly as the rest laid flat.

he slipped on the shoes and walked downstairs.

"you look really good in that." Luhan said.

Minseok smiled, stepping closer to his boyfriend and placing his hands on his waist.

Luhan bent down and placed a soft kiss to Minseok's lips and pulled back slowly.

"let's go" Luhan smiled.
