Meet me @ Peterson park in an hour -Michael
I was awoken up to my phone buzzing right next to my ear. I looked and saw that I had a text from Michael, ready to start 'pokemon training'.
I quickly replied to his text and began getting ready for the day.
As 10:15 approached, I decided to load Pokemon Go and start heading to the park to meet Michael. Peterson Park was only around a ten minute walk from my house, so I took my time. As soon as I arrived at the park I immediately recognized Michael with his florescent red hair, sticking up in all directions. Although his hair was messy, it was endearing and kind of cute.
Michael looked up at me when I got closer and shot me a smile, waving me over.
"Hey there," I said, taking a seat beside him on the park bench. "Any luck with Pokemon today?"
"I did actually get a Geodude, but I figure you already have one of those so no, not much luck. You?"
"Nothing extraordinary, no." I trailed off, looking around at all the people at the park. Obviously most of them are here just to play Pokemon. I looked back over to Michael to find him looking at me already. He lightly blushed when he realized I caught him staring at me and went back to looking at his phone.
"So, do you want to start?" I asked as Michael nodded his head. We both clicked on the gym and picked our Pokemon for combat. "Got yours picked out?"
"Yeah, now what?"
"Well once you start it, you can either click rapidly to send small attacks, or you can hold down for a little bit to deliver a larger, more efficient attack. It just depends on the CP Level and how close to death your Pokemon is." I informed him, showing him how to do it through my phone. After I won a couple battles, I turned to Michael to watch him do it. He was doing really well at it, but I didn't have any doubts about that. He seems like the type to be really good at video games, he just hasn't been lucky with catching any Pokemon.
We continued battling, lowering the gyms level in order to take it over. Once it was low enough Michael asked, "Wait, which team are you on?"
"Valor, you?"
"What? I'm Mystic." Michael shook his head in disbelief. "For how awesome you are at Pokemon, I totally thought you'd be on the better team."
"No way Mikey, Valor is obviously the best team."
"Better dead than red, ayyy," Michael laughed.
I laughed and shook my head. "I guess we'll just see who gets the gym then. That will decide who's really the best."
"You're on," Michael stated confidently.
After intensly battling, someone else must have been at the park trying to take over the gym as well, because it went to Team Instinct.
"What the hell? Why is it yellow? Is that a glitch?" Michael asked, dumbfounded.
"I have never seen a yellow gym. I didn't even know that was possible." I agreed.
"Well dammit. I guess Instinct is the best team." Michael joked.
"I don't think so. We'll figure this out another time, Team Valor or Team Mystic."
"Next time?" Michael smirked.
"Well we've gotta figure out which team is better somehow."
"Alright, wanna meet up tomorrow at the same time?"
"Sure," I said, standing up and brushing off my pants.
"I'll see you tomorrow then," he smiled, standing up as well.
I nodded my head and we both started heading our separate ways.
"Wait!" Michael called, making me turn around to face him. "I forgot a cheesy pick up line."
I giggled and shook my head.
"I think I'm going to need a burn heal because you're hot."
"Oh whatever, see you tomorrow Michael." I waved goodbye and starting walking back to my house with a smile on my face.
