Joe's P.O.V.

"Thanks Johnny," I sighed as I sat in the passenger seat. "What the fuck were you even doing over here man?" Johnny asked. His breath and car reeked from marijuana. "I was drunk and I called her to come get and she did, she doesn't even know how to drive." I blurted out putting my seatbelt on.

"Bro, you told me she has a boyfriend." He hand slid on my shoulder squeezing it. "Yea I know," I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. "But I was so drunk that I told her I like her! But I pretended like I don't remember anything."

Johnny sighed deeply, "Look, she likes Dylan whatever the fuck his name is. Don't get in the way of that." He looked over at me. I set my head back and thought about last night.

When we got home, I went straight to my room. I ripped my shirt off and slid on some joggers. All of my thoughts were about her! The way she hugged me like never before. Johnny had to beep his horn for us to pull apart.

I shook my head and blasted Metallica in my room. Johnny is right though, she's with Dylan. No matter how much that hurt it was true. I jumped on my bed and laid down. My head was pounding, I've never been this hungover before.

I grabbed a water bottle that was on my night stand. I chugged the whole water and threw the bottle across my room. My phone then started to ring, I grabbed it and looked at the caller id, it was Stella. I grabbed the controller to the speakers and put the music down.

"Hey," I said happily sitting up. "Joe are you alright?" She asked concerned. "Yea, just hungover. I can't thank you enough." I rushed through. My face heated up when I heard her laugh.

"It's fine Joe, I just called to see if you were alright. I'll see you later." "Alright bye," I hung up the phone and set it on my night stand. I put the volume back up and fell asleep.

"Joe!" Mr.Carol yelled slamming a ruler on my desk close enough to hit my fingers. "Stop talking and pay attention," his dark brown eyes stared down at me. I wasn't slightly intimidated but I don't like to argue with teachers. Classes passed slowly but it was finally lunch time. Dylan and Stella walked hand in hand like always, Madi and Caleb laugh together. And me, well I stand behind the two couples. I felt so out of place. "I don't belong here," I mumbled under my breath. Stella turned around blinking fast. "What?" She asked. "All of you guys are happy together and I'm over here 5th wheeling!" I yelled. "Joe," "Bye, I'm leaving." I spun around and walked away.

"Joe," I heard Stella call out.

"Joe! Get up," I opened my eyes slowly seeing Johnny shaking me awake. "What do you want?" I grunted sitting up. "Stella and her short ass boyfriend are here," I jumped off my bed.

"What? Why?" I shook my head running my fingers through my hair. "I don't know? They came with food, I'm leaving and they better be gone when I'm back." Johnny said then left my room.

I bent over picking up a random shirt off my pile of clothing on my floor. I opened my door and went out to the living room. "Hey Joe," Stella smiled. Her smile made me smile. "Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I asked uncomfortably, shoving my hands in my pocket.

"We brought food, you must be very hungover from what I heard last night." Dylan said holding the bag of McDonald's up. "Thanks, but you didn't have to." I said looking at Stella then back at Dylan.
