As I drive into the school parking lot, the necklace around my neck, I see Rose and her friends looking at me. And I know that she's been waiting for me. I sigh, as I gather my bag and my workbook for Biology. I lock my car and start to walk towards the entrance, trying to ignore the looks of pure hatred I'm receiving from Rose and her friends. "Stop right there you whore." Her voice filled with jealous venom. I look at her, my chin up, "I'm not the whore here sweetie" I say, shocked by my bravery. Her two identical twins gasp, advancing towards me to corner me. "Look here you fatso. This is pretty simple, you stay away from Liam and I'll leave you alone." She looks at me her eyes filled with the same disgust from the other day. "And if I don't?"  I ask, innocently. "You don't want to find out bitch." And that did it for me. I turned around to walk away, "Where do you think you're going?" she asks as though I'm a four year old. "To class, where else?" I answer. One of the two other white blondes grabs my bag and pulls it roughly out of my hand, the other grabs my workbook. They drop my stuff messily around me. I watch, tears burning the back of my eyes at this humiliation. "What do we have here..?" she asks, like a predator looking at its caged catch. And I notice her eyes looking at my necklace, and before I can react she reaches for it and breaks it as she rips it from my neck. "Liam gave this to you?" she asks, but she knows the answer. "Give it back to me Rose" I say, trying not to let my tears spill.

"Don't tell me what to do, you pig" and suddenly I feel the hot sting of her hand against my cheek. And as I stand there, my cheek hot and stinging, she pushes me roughly to the ground. And I look up to see her stomp on my angel winged necklace, she kneels next to me, and grabs my chin with her hand, "Stay away from him or else-"  she was cut off by Liam's scream, "JULIET!"  And I look around to see him and Niall running across the parking lot at an unimaginable speed. Liam reaches us first, and I see panic on his face, he kneels next to me and I look into his eyes, tears finally surfacing on my eyes. "What did they do to you?" he softly asks me, and I give into his warmth. I know that Rose's handprint is visible on my cheek, his eyes focus on my cheek. I would never want Liam or anyone else see me like this. And then his attention turns to Rose as she starts to yell at him, "Liam, why are asking HER if she's okay? I'M YOUR GIRLFRIEND!" she yells, as a group of students gather around us. Liam looks at Niall, "Can you take care of her?" and Niall nods, giving Rose a look of dislike, before kneeling next to me with nothing but kindness in his clear blue eyes. "C'mon Juls, let's go" he helps me up and gathers my bag and workbook and we head back into my car. I hear Liam's voice raise, his patience and kindness gone.

"You cheated on me! How dare you do this? Rose, I thought I made it official but I guess I'll do it again so that everyone knows, WE ARE DONE." He says, as Rose stands there, embarrassed and angry. "But Liam, we need to be together!" she pleads, her shriek penetrating my eardrums. "No we don't, you never wanted to be with me, all you wanted was to have the popularity and the attention, but I think you have the wrong guy Rose. We never connected at any level, and you know that. And I don't care what you do anymore, or what you go around saying. But don't you ever, ever, go after my girl again." And there was an undertone that I don't think anyone had ever heard from Liam, because as I glance back, everyone is standing there with admiration and shock looking at Liam. "She's nothing but a fat pig Liam", and my heart quenches at that word. "She's more beautiful than you will ever be. Inside and out she's better than you Rose.  And I understand why you're jealous of her, believe me I do, but don't ever hurt her again. " He gives her a final look, and turns on his heel, leaving her hanging as he walks towards my car where Niall is standing in front of like a security guard and I'm sitting in the back seat, trying to stop my tears.

"Thanks Niall." He says, as he gives his friend a look of pure gratitude, and opens the door to get in the car with me. "Baby..." he says as though he's done something wrong and is trying to apologize for it. "It's fine Liam. Don't you dare apologize, don't." I say as I attach myself to him, pleading silently for a hug, and I smile as he wraps himself around me. And we stay like this for what seems like ages, "I want to go home." I say my voice raspy. "I'll call my grandma." He says as he gets out of the car to call Grandma Payne. The door opens and I turn to see a blonde Niall peek his head through, "I got you some water..." He says, shyly. And I smile, "thank you." I say as I suddenly feel a surge of thirst. "Thanks for everything Niall." I say, "He really likes you, and I've seen him get hurt so many times by Rose, it's about time he ended things with her. And from what I know, you and he have a lot in common. He's been looking for you all his life Juliet. I can see that and so does he."  He looks me in the eyes, and I can't help but smile at his kind words, "I've been looking for him too" I say, and I feel a blush creep into my cheeks. "Okay, grandma wants to talk to you later, but other than that she'll excuse us both for the rest of the day." He looks from Niall to me, and smiles, recognizing that we were talking about him. "Niall...-" Niall stops him. "Your car will be in your parkway by the end of school." He says a smile on his Irish lips. "Thanks mate." Liam says, as he gets into the driver seat of my Range Rover.  "See ya later Juls!" Niall exclaims as he starts to close the door, "See ya later Niall!" I can't help but giggle. He closes the door and I can still hear his contagious laughter, "Let's get you home babe." Liam says as he drives my car out of the school parking lot, and I lean my head back, tears finally starting to dry on my face. And slowly I drift off into sleep, allowing sleep to take away the dreadful memories of today.
