I woke up to a throbbing pain in my head as I slowly sat up and took in my surroundings. I was laying on a small bed in a dimly lit room with no windows. The room looked lived it, yet it was sparse at the same time. There weren't any pictures on the walls, nor were there any real personal touches from what i could see of the room. I turned to my right and saw Alek sitting in a chair next to the bed. He smiled at me, but it was hollow as he spoke,
"Y/N, I'm sorry. That's not how I wanted to greet you after all these years."
I glared at him,
"What do you want, Alek? What could you possibly want from me?"
I snapped at him. His smile never left his face as he responded,
"I came to help you remember."
"Remember what?"
"What happened that day thirteen years ago."
He replied easily. I froze for a moment before responding coldly,
"I know exactly what happened. Someone came into my house and killed my parents. I barely survived it."
He sighed in annoyance,
"Well, that's not quite right. Your parents are dead but-"
He sighed again,
"This is pointless, you won't believe me anyway. Just look at this."
He said handing me a small green gem that pulsated with power,
"What is it?"
I asked him as I examined it. He responded coolly,
"Something that will help you remember. Just concentrate on it okay?"
I did, then I gasped as I was taken back in time.
I was standing in a beautiful room that felt somewhat familiar. I quickly realized it was the same room from my dream. It was my old room from when I was a little girl. I heard a door open and saw my mother come in and quickly shut it behind her. She turned to me with a fearful look in her eyes,
"Y/N, were going to play hide-and-seek okay? You hide and I'll count."
She was opening a secret panel behind my bed as she spoke,
"You're hiding from everyone okay? Hide in here. They won't think to look for you here."
I happily smiled at her,
"Does that mean that I'll win mommy?"
I said with an excited voice. She smiled weakly and stroked my hair,
"I hope so sweetie."
She said as she pushed me into the small tunnel,
"Just keep going sweetie and remember your father and I love you very much, alright?"
And with that she sealed me in and left the room. I did as she said and kept going until I smelled blood that I recognized as my mother's. I let a silent tear slip and kept going as the smell grew stronger and began to mix with my father's. When I reached the end of the tunnel, I saw a man there with long, dark red hair waiting for me, it was Rido.
"Come with me! Hurry!"
He said as he pulled me up and started to lead me away from my house,
"Not so fast Rido."
A deep, rich voice said from behind us. We turned to see a man with dark blonde hair and lightish eyes,
"What do you want Alek?"
Rido said as he pulled you behind him.
"You can't have her Rido. She's not yours to take."
A dangerous look flashed in Rido's eyes as he pricked his finger making a blood whip,
"She's not yours either. So what's to stop me from taking her? "
Alek glared at the pure blood,
"She is not yours to take! She was promised to me!"
he growled as he pulled out a gun and fired at him. I was scared out of my mind as I hid behind a tree. As the men fought I just kept looking from one to the other unsure who the victor would be. I saw Rido about to kill the other man and had a strong urge to save him, though I wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the innocent nature of a child who didn't want any bloodshed,
"NO STOP!"
I yelled as I jumped between the pure blood and the man. Time seemed to stop as both men stared at the bloodwhip sticking out of your stomach,
"NO!!"
Alek yelled as I fell on top him dead. When I awoke I saw a beautiful woman looking down at me,
"Where am I?"
I asked in confusion. She smiled warmly,
"Heaven, my dear. You gave your life for another and you are now an angel."
Another angel came and glared at you,
"You're a vampire! What are you here?"
"Because she gave her life for another."
The woman answered. He still looked wary,
"If you cause trouble I will have you expelled from heaven."
He said, storming off in anger. Then everything blurred and I came to a regal room with an older girl sitting in the center of it while a man stared down at her angrily,
"How dare you question me! I brought you here overlooking what you were!"
The girl flinched as she glared at him, not backing down,
"I refuse to blindly follow someone who cannot lead! You persecute me on the grounds that I questioned why you punished an innocent when he clearly wasn't guilty!"
The man grabbed the girl and pulled her up so she was at eye level with him,
"If that is how you feel then you leave me no choice."
His gaze was cold as stone as he spoke to the girl, ripping the wings out of her back. She screamed in pain as blood ran down her back and dripped onto the floor,
"I banish you, Y/N L/N, forever."
