After Rido left to speak with Cross again, I went back to the Moon Dorm to relax in my room. I was halfway up the stairs when Kaname called out to me quietly,

"Y/N! Could you come with me for a moment? I'd like to speak to you in my study."

He asked smoothly. I nodded and silently followed him to his study. When I entered he gestured to a love seat facing the window,

"Please, sit down."

His tone was still normal and I complied, nodding hesitantly as I sat down, hearing him shut the door softly,

Click

The sound of the large dark oak door locking reached my ears and I visibly tensed,

Did he just lock us in here?

My thoughts were racing in my mind as he came around the love seat to face me, his demeanor changing slightly. The look in his eyes was the same look the Kaname I knew always had in his eyes. I still didn't want to take any chances and remained silent as he spoke,

"Y/N, I know we have not spoken very much recently, but I would like to know why you feel the need to associate with Rido?"

Kaname's voice was soft, but his cold gaze gave his anger away. I took a deep breath before answering, choosing my words carefully,

"Rido is my friend. He has been for many years, as you know. He often came to visit me as a child, just like you did. I know you two have a sorted past, but in light of recent events it's best to keep your friends close."

I looked at him carefully, gauging his reaction. Kaname said nothing, just turned to look out of the window,

"You say it is good to keep your friends close. Isn't there more to that saying?"

He said, his voice soft and smooth as he turned back to me and sat next to me on the love seat, gazing deep into my eyes as he spoke,

"Keep your Friends close,"

He tilted my chin up, brushing his lips over mine slightly as he whispered against them,

"And your enemies.."

His intense gaze flicked between my eyes and lips,

"Closer."

He leaned in and captured my lips in a sweet, but passionate kiss.  I responded in turn and cupped his cheek in my right hand while he held the back of my head, leaning in more to deepen the kiss. He wrapped his free arm around my waist, pulling me close to him as if I'd fly away if he let go. He moved me so I was sitting more on his lap and pulled me flush against him. My skin felt hot under his fingertips as they ghosted over my shoulders, arms, and waist. I moved my right hand to his shoulder while my left rested against his chest, feeling him lean into my touch. When we broke apart he smiled adoringly at me,

"I knew from the moment I saw you that I loved you. I wish you were not in danger. I wish I could take you away from Alek and any other who wants to harm you. I wish we could run away somewhere where he could never find you."

Kaname said softly, pained by the situation we were in. I leaned against him and absently played with his hair,

"It's alright. I know you're doing the best you can to protect me. Everyone is. It's just complicated when you don't know who the true enemy is. Or where he is."

Something flashed in Kaname's eyes. Understanding. He knew. He knew that I knew the truth. He nodded almost imperceptibly to acknowledge he understood before speaking,

"Yes, the enemy that moves in the shadows is the deadliest. The safest place for you is by my side."

He said seriously, his eyes burning with intensity as I responded,

"I don't think the others would agree with you."

I smirked playfully at him. He smiled gracefully back at me,

"It is not up to them, now is it?"

I laughed lightly,

"I suppose not. For now, I will stay closer to you if it will put your mind at ease."

I said seriously and I saw relief flash in his eyes. We each caught what the other was saying and he smiled happily at me,

"That it would."

I smiled sweetly back at the pureblood,

"I would like to return to my room. I want to relax a little. I haven't had a chance with everything going on."

He nodded in understanding as he spoke,

"You don't need my permission, Y/N."

"I wasn't asking for it."

I replied smoothly, smirking as I gracefully rose from the love seat. When I reached the door I turned back to Kaname, speaking to him in a mischievous tone,

"By the way, I never took you for the jealous type."

I giggled as Kaname's eyes widened and quickly left his study, sprinting down the hall to my room. When I arrived I flopped down on my bed like a little kid, giggling at the thought of Kaname being jealous,

The great pure blood Kaname Kuran is jealous! How adorable!

I smiled to myself as I laid back on my pillows,

At least he knows that I heard him the other night. I wonder if he knows about Takuma? Should I tell him? But if he doesn't Takuma will be in danger,

The thought of Takuma in danger made a tight pain form in my chest as I rolled over on my bed, starting to feel tired. I about to fall asleep until I heard a small noise coming from my door. I went over and saw a small slip of paper that had been slid under the door. I picked it up and read it,

Y/N, Meet me at the fountain after dark. I need to speak with you. It's important. Don't tell anyone about this. Especially Kaname. I'll be waiting.~Senri

Okay so I just realized that in the last chapter I said Hunter when I meant Alek. Alek is Y/N's brother and Hunter is the angel I'm sorry for that confusion. If you want to go back and reread it it'll make more sense now that I've fixed it. Sorry about that xD I hope you guys liked the Kaname scene ^-^ feel free to comment on any other guys you want a sweet scene with cx the next one will be Senri but I can fit two sweet scenes in one chapter ~
