Chapter One ~ Graduation

Today you were graduating from high school. How great is that? You finally have the chance to live your life in freedom! All that was left was University. The university that you were planning to attend was Seoul National University. You were excited knowing the opportunities that academy could give you.

"(Y/N)!" You heard one of your friends call out.
"Ma Ri-ah." You smile seeing that she was already dressed in her cap and gown.
"Why aren't you wearing the cap and gown?" She frowned.
"I got too hot." I told her.
"Well put it back on because we need to head over to the ceremony now." I obeyed, and we headed over to the field.

"Good evening staff, students, and parents. We are gathered here today to celebrate the success of the graduates of 2016. We will begin by introducing the Valedictorian, following up with the awards, then the diplomas." The principle says and we applaud.

"I would like to introduce the Valedictorian. This person has shown excellency in academics, and overflowing compassion. She has always been a helping hand to students and staff members at our school. I am proud to announce the Valediction of 2016, (Y/L/N) (Y/N)." The principle smiled as you proudly walked up to the podium.

"Good evening, my name is (Y/N), and I am this year's Valedictorian. I must say that I did not see this coming, but I hoped for the best. Valedictorian was not my ultimate goal in High School, or in life. My goal was to be the best I could be, and to push myself. I guess that goal reached the unexpected. I am very proud of not only myself, but I am proud of all you standing in front of me. I have noticed everyone stressing all year, especially for exams, and now we can all gladly say that we made it. We made it so far, that it is only the beginning, the beginning of a new life. I ask that you all take that to your advantage, and created the greatest fresh start ever. Thank you to all the teachers, and staff helpers for giving us your all, and thank you students for making this year a great one. I wish you all the best of luck." Everyone applauded, wolf whistled, there were even some students tearing up.

"And now for the awards..."

"Congratulations!" You heard your parents beam giving you hugs and kisses.
"Thank you."
"Let's eat out tonight, where do you want to eat, (Y/N)?" Your mother asked.
"W-" you got cut off by a familiar voice yelling out your name.
"(Y/N)!" It was Ma Ri again, this time she was with her boyfriend.
"Ma Ri-ah, Shi Hoo-ah." You smile.
"I just wanted to congratulate you." Ma Ri says giving you a warm hug.
"Same to you."
"Good luck at Uni, stay healthy, and keep in touch." She says.
"I will try, I wish you both luck in the future, I expect to be a bride's maid soon." You shot her and Shi Hoo a wink causing them to blush.
"We should be going now." Your father interrupted.
"Right, goodbye Lovebirds." You cooed giving them a hug.

"Mom, dad?"
"Yes?"
"Can we have barbecue tonight?" You asked.
"Of course." They chuckled.

This chapter was a little boring, but I promise that it will get exciting after Chapter Two!
