Chapter Twenty-Five ~ Time's Up

15 hours

You woke up the next day feeling more uncomfortable than ever. Why? Well you were still tied up to that damn wooden chair.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty!" Jae Min chirped.
"Ugh! You could've at least tied me up in a comfortable bed." You groaned.
"Are you suggesting something?" He wiggled his eyebrows at you.
"Hell no!" You yelled in disgust.
"Well, I tired. Shi Hoo, give the lady her breakfast." He ordered before leaving the room.

Shi Hoo then came in with a tray of scrambled eggs and a glass of water.
"At least the food is good." Shi Hoo said trying to lighten the mood.
"I'd rather be dead than suffer here."
"Don't say that."
"Easy for you to say, my life is at state here."
"Believe I'm suffering just as much as you are. I should be with my girlfriend chilling at the beach, cuddling up at night like we planned, but no, instead I'm in this rotted place helping my brother commit crime."
You let out a sigh.
"I just wish for this to all be over."
"Tell me about it."

10 hours

Who knew being kidnapped would be so boring? The least they could do was entertain you. You probably had ten hours to live by now! And what the hell is taking the boys so long? It's been taking them twenty hours to make their damn mind up!

"Why so stressed, sweetheart?" Jae Min asked.
"I'm bored, and there's a fifty percent chance of me dying, so the least you guys could do is make it the best ten hours before I die." You replied rolling your eyes.
"She has a point." One of Jae Min's men said.

"All right then, do you have any requests on what you want to do?" Jae Min rose an eyebrow at you.
"For starters, you can let me out of this chair." You suggested only to earn a laugh from Jae Min.
"Now, now, that's a bit too risky. Who knows what tricks you have up your sleeve?"
"Fine then, can we watch a movie or YouTube videos?"
"Excellent choice! I have DramaFever or do you prefer Netflix?"
"Well, I've been longing to finish watching Moorim School."
"Moorim School it is. What episode?"
"Episode ten."

Jae Min pressed play on the screen, and you began to think that maybe these ten hours wouldn't be so boring after all. Sure your 'summer schedule' has been ruined, but at least you get to finish your favourite drama.

5 hours

There were five hours remaining before you had to take a trip to your death bed. Jae Min went back to his office for a bit in await for any news from the boys. Now you were left alone with Shi Hoo.

"Was everything that your brother said true?"
"What do you mean?"
"When he said that he possibly knew everything about the guys, and when he said that he's been watching them for three years."
"He only knows their whereabouts and their names. He still has yet to know about their purpose as a gang, but the part where he's been watching them, I'm not so sure."
"How'd you even get involved with them?"
"It's a long story." You sighed.
"Care to tell? We've got lots of time."
"Maybe another day."
"And what is there is no 'other day'?"
"Then maybe it's not important."
"You really do have your way of words now."
"I learned it from the best or should I say bests?"
"That doesn't even make sense." Shi Hoo chuckled.
"You know for a valedictorian, you suck at English." He joked causing you to shoot him a playful glare.
"I do not!" You defended.
"Yes you do."
"Says the one who just said that I had my 'way of words'."
"All right, you win." He rolled his eyes.

25 minutes

"What's taking your boyfriend so long." Jae Min groaned throwing his head back in frustration.
"Maybe someone killed them before they could get back to us." One of Jae Min's men said.
"It's possible." Another one added.
"But it's not probable." Jae Min muttered before grabbing a gun and loading it.
"Either way, the clock is ticking and this pretty lady is going to die in their hands." He added.
"Looks like Jimin doesn't love you as much as his business." He shook his head mockingly.

You didn't have any hopes, nor did you have any doubts. You and Jimin got into that stupid fight after all. Of course Jungkook probably was eager to save your life, but Jimin being the negotiator he is, probably persuaded the young boy to stand down.

"Ten minutes, boss." The first man informed.
"Oh, can I just kill you already?" Jae Min complained.
You replied with a shrug not caring about what was about to happen.
"No, that wouldn't be fair." He said standing straight.

You came to a conclusion that Jung Jae Min was a weird man. He's dangerous, annoying, rude, yet he's also fair, handsome, and sometimes funny. Not like jokingly, laid back funny, more like his appearance in general was amusing to you.

"Five minutes."
"Clock is ticking boys." He said to himself as if your friends could hear him.

Out of nowhere, your heart slowly began to speed up. Part of you began to grow scared, but you decided not to show it.

"Two minutes."
You looked to your right to find a worried Shi Hoo. You gave him a reassuring smile and mouthed an "It's OK." before looking back at Jae Min.

"Thirty seconds."
Jae Min raised his gun to make sure he at least had one bullet.

"Five seconds."
"Four seconds."
"Three seconds."
"Two seconds."
"One second."

"Time's up." Jae Min smirked.
