When Our Stars Align.

Riley's POV

I run into the ER to find Alex walking back and forth, scared shitless.

I rush up to him and jump practically on him.

He catches me and I wrap my legs around his waist.

"Hey angel." Alex says.

I giggle at him and peck him on the lips. "Hey my handsome boy."

I say.

Alex musters a sad look on his face. "Boy? I thought I am a man?"

I laugh at him and peck him on his lips again.

"You wish."

I jump off of him and open the door of where Eric is.

People were surrounded by him and were working on him quickly.

I close the door quietly and feel the tears coming, but this time I couldn't cry, I was finally out of tears.

I run over to where Alex was and hug him to get out the pain of my heart from seeing Eric hurt.

Alex hugs me back and squeezes me lightly.

"Do you think he will be ok?" I say.

Alex gave me a sad look and I already knew he wasn't gonna be ok.

But I am not losing hope.

I wrap my arms around Alex's waist and Alex rocks me back and forth humming to me to calm me down.

I wrest my head on his chest and hum along to the song Alex is humming.

I give up humming and sing the song.

"I won't give up, on us.

Even If the stars gave up,

I'm given it all my luck,

I'm still looking up."

Alex pulls me closer to him and kisses me on my forehead.

"You have such a beautiful voice."

Alex says.

My face begins to feel hot and I shove my head closer into Alex's warm body.

He chuckled at me and I sigh and listen to his heartbeat.

All of the sudden the doctor comes into the lobby.

I unwrap my arms around Alex but Alex keeps a secure wrap around my waist.

"Miss-"

The doctor says.

I look at him like he's stupid and finish his sentence.

"Anderson."

"And?" The doctor says.

"Alexander Richardson."

Alex says.

"Well, Eric will be fine, he's having problems with his heart and brain, from the impact of the car crash, in due time he will get better, but he will need both of your threes help."

"How?" I say.

The doctor gives me a 'are you stupid look' but explains it to me.

"Regular visits and overall support will help him. And please, keep that long-haired blonde out of here. Shes been causing stress for our nurses and Eric especially." The doctor says.

I keep my laughter in and nod my head.

My god Abigail, you are such a annoying and fake person aren't you?

"You will be able to visit Eric in about 2 hours. For now relax and have something to eat you 3 look starving." The doctor says.

The doctor walks out of the room and leaves me and Alex alone.

Wait. Did he say 3?

I turn around and see Maggie on the floor eating donuts and jolly ranchers.

Wait. Are those MY jolly ranchers!

I rush over to where Maggie was and fear sprang across her face.

Yep. Those are my jolly ranchers.

I'm a foot away from the candy when Maggie runs away from me but only to get caught by Alex.

I walk over to her and she gives me a 'don't kill me' look.

I stare into her eyes and she squirms in Alex's grasp.

"Never. Eat. My. Jolly. Ranchers." I say slowly.

Maggie nods her head and throws the bag at me.

There's only one left!

"You are such a poop head." I say.

Maggie starts laughing her butt off and I join her.

"Sorry, I was just so hungry." Maggie says.

I give her a 'I know' look and she smiles happily at me.

I yawn and Alex scoops me into his arms bridal style and lyes me on the lobby couch, he then grabs his coat and lays it overtop of me.

"I love you." I say.

Alex looks at me lovingly and smiles." I love you too."

I feel my body start to drift to sleep when before I fully went to sleep I hear a loud "AWWW!"

You'll probably guess who that was.

Only my Maggie.
