*Miles' POV*
Her lips felt so soft and perfect against mine. It felt so awesome to hold her like this. And that's when I knew, she felt the same way.The bell went off a couple seconds later. It startled us both. We both jumped away from each other, and awkwardly pulled apart. She looked up at me smiling. I was so happy to see that smile, and then I noticed that I was smiling too.

I hated that bell. If it didn't go off I know we would have stayed like that for so much longer. I couldn't help but smile. I'd been waiting for this since lunch my first day at Keaton."We should probably get to class." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. I'd never seen this nervous side of him before, and I have to admit it was kind of cute.
"Or, we could leave and maybe practice a little before the show?" I asked, shrugging, trying to sound casual.
"Are you serious?" He asked, eyes wide.
"You, Alya, asking me to skip school with you?" I had to admit I was kind of surprised too. But I didn't want to leave him. Something about him was like a magnet, drawing me closer and closer.
"Why are you so surprised? Am I that boring that you don't think I could ever do such a thing?" I joked. His smile made the sun look dark I swear. He reached for my hand, still smiling and I gladly gave it to him.
" No. It's because I can't believe a girl would have enough energy for her first kiss and her first crime in one day." I pulled me hand back slowly and leaned up against the wall.
"What makes you think it was my first?" I asked. He kept looking at me, like he was waiting for me to finish. " Fine. You win lover boy, now let's go." I said, grabbing his hand and trying to get him to walk with me he wouldn't budge, instead he pulled me back over to him. He held me close, again.
" For the record, it was a wonderful first kiss for me too Ms. Kendrick."
I couldn't help but laugh. He makes it so hard to pretend to me max at him, even a professional actress would her a hard time.
"Well if you want a wonderful second one, you'll have to catch me-"
Only one flaw in that plan: I forgot we were still holding hands. Before I could start running, or even move for that matter, he held up both of our hands.
"Done." He said pointing to our fingers lacing together so perfectly. So I figured if we were ever going to leave, I might as well just do it. Oh who am I kidding, I didn't mind kissing him again.I leaned in, standing on my toes to reach him. We leaned in together. Everything was perfect just like the first time. Until our noses bumped. We both chuckled. While he was still caught off guard I leaned in fast, luckily landing my lips on his. I could feel his shock for a split second before he kissed me back. I don't think you could really call it passionate, but maybe something more along the lines of between playful and loving.
*Miles' POV*
Now I'm really starting to regret what I said earlier. The old Alya would have never done any of this. And I'm sort of proud of this new Alya, she hasn't really changed, she's just figuring out different things and stepping outside her comfort zone. After we decided to come up for air we headed out of the school, stopping when we got about half a block away.
I don't think either of us though about what we'd do after we got out.
"So, I was thinking we could get ready for tonight and then we could practice a little." I asked her as she shifted the strap on her guitar case further up her shoulder.
"That sounds great, except my house is on the other side of town." She explained with her hand still on her case."In that case, why don't we go to that dress shop down the street and you can come to my place and get ready?" I figured I could at least buy her an outfit and let her get ready at my house so she wouldn't have to walk across town.
"I'd love to but I don't have any money with me to pay, and it's not like I could even afford a hanger in that place," she responded.
"I'm paying for your dress then, and I want you to get whatever you want," I told her as I put my arm around her shoulders. Now that we were to together in whatever way we were, I didn't want to give this up. She leaned in and looked up at me.
"Fine, you can pay. This time," she said.
*Alya's POV*
We stood outside the dress shop while I looked in the display windows at the dresses on the mannequins.
"Are you ready?" Miles came up behind me and asked.
"You startled me!" I whisper-yelled at him as I smacked him on the shoulder. We walked into the shop. After finding a few dresses I headed to the fitting room and Miles waited outside. I narrowed my selection down to two and decided to let Miles help me decide between the two. I pulled my first choice- a long sleeved emerald green number that came down about six inches above my knees. I walked out of the fitting room to get his opinion.
"Well? What do you think?" I asked him, putting my hands on my hips. He looked up from his phone to look at me- I mean the dress.
" It looks great." He responded while studying the dress. Or me, but it doesn't matter.
"But, what do you think of this one?" I asked as I hurried back into the fitting room to show him my other choice. I lifted it over my head and looked in the mirror. I smoothed out the tulle skirt with my hands. This dress had to be my choice out of the two. It was strapless, blush colored with a gold ribbon for a belt. Fake diamonds covered the top part, and the skirt was shorter than I usually wore. It was full and made almost entirely of tulle. I loved it, and I hoped Miles did too.
