As I looked up at the person who saved me from the strange flower, I cower away from it.

Above me was a giant goat... creature, that stood like an actual human.

Like a monster.

"Uh- ah umm.." I was trembling. Scared that it was going to attack me just like Flowey did.

Tears started forming in my eyes.

The monster in font of me was female, she had white fur with two small horns on the top of her head. She was wearing a purple tunic that had a strange white symbol on it.

But the only thing I could really focus on was the canines that were protruding from her mouth, and the sharp claws on her paws...

She looked off the where Flowey disappeared to. "What a terrible creature..."

She looked at my fearful form. Laying on the floor, with terror.

"Ah, please, do not be afraid, my child." She said her words dipped in worry. "I'm Toriel, caretaker of these Ruins."

I looked up from my huddled form, wondering if I should trust the monster.

I didn't need to look around me to know that she was the only option I had. Monster or not, there was no one else. And It was either stick with her, or have the chance of meeting up with the flower character.

I didn't want that.

"I pass through every other day to see if anyone has fallen down. Your the first human to come here since.... Well, A very long time..."

Ah, I think I remember something about missing children.... But how big does this cave go?  And why was it filled with monsters?

She holds out her clawed hand, "Come! I will guide you through the catacombs child...  I will keep you safe, trust me..."

I looked at her cautiously, my heart beating at a dangerous pace.

Just how did all of this start? It makes me feel so hopeless....

But as the color of the room came flooding back and my soul floated back into my chest, I didn't notice the small glance Toriel gave my dim white heart from the corner of her eyes.

I stood up, slowly, and hesitantly taking Toriel's outstretched hand.

"This way." She said and began walking out of the dimly lit room.

Once we left the room for a brighter one, I had to adjust my eyes.  But for a moment, Toriel's purple tunic seemed more of a black color with torn ends and strange stains, but when I rubbed my eyes, it was all gone and Toriel looked the same as she always did.

Huh... I have to keep my gourd up, I can't trust her like I did the.... The... Whatever it was, from earlier. It was not so important that I have to remember it apparently.

We came to an open room, and Toriel hurried up the steps as I slowly followed her watching the room around me.

There wasn't really anything remarkable about the purple walled room but one thing. A strange light was in between the two stare wells in the flower bushes, and when I brushed my hand against it I heard a whisper in the back of my mind.
