Alice's POV at Age 5
"Tyler were are you?" I called out we were in the park playing hide and seek with Josh but I was soon lost in the woods
"Josh?" I began to cry and started to run through the woods I couldn't find my way out was I lost in here forever
I ran and ran and ran till my little legs couldn't take it I fell and my ankle hurt really bad I sat there underneath a tree sobbing
"Alice!" I heard Josh
"Alice where are you?" Tyler called out
"Over here" I yelled out I Heard footsteps coming towards me and soon saw them tyler then rushed over
"You had me worried" Tyler hugged me
"Are you alright?" He added I shook my head no
"My ankle hurts" I looked at him he picked me up and started carrying me back
"We'll get you fixed up" He said I nodded and started to get sleepy
"Tired?" He asked I nodded
"Go ahead and go to sleep" He smiled and I soon did
Alice 10 years old
"Tyler help your Father please" I heard mom call Tyler came down from his room and walked outside to help dad cut the lawn
"Alice can you help me in the kitchen?" Mom asked I put down my sketch book and pencils and walked in the kitchen
"Can you make the salad please?" Mom asked
"Sure" I smiled so I did what I was asked to
"Okay can you now set the table?" She asked
"Yeah" I smiled again I grabbed the plates and silverware and started setting the table
mom brought over the food and set it down which I accidently touched the hot pan making me drop a plate having it shader on the floor
"I- I'm sorry" I apologized but son my face stung
"You Bitch" Mom spat at me
"You cant do anything right can you?" She added laughing
"You don't deserve to eat tonight"
"Get out of my sight" She waved me away
I quickly went to my room locking my door
"Dinner's Ready" Mom quickly changed her attitude
I put my back against the wall and slid down sobbing then there was a knock on my door
"Alice are you coming down for dinner?" Tyler asked
"I'm not hungry" I replied
"you said that last night" He seemed upset
"I'm just not hungry" I then heard footsteps walking away I began to sob into my knees.
Alice 18 years old
It's been a month since me and Tyler spoke he's on tour right now and I don't want to be a bother
I was sitting up in my room drawing when my door was busted open... again
I looked up to see mom barged in she grabbed me by the hair dragging me out of my room she threw me downstairs I hit my head on the back of the wall
she then threw me into the glass coffee table I could smell the booze from all the way across the room
"Your a disgrace" Mom slurred she then fell onto the couch passing out I got up and walked towards the bathroom picking all the glass shards from my body I then took one of the bigger pieces of glass and held it in my hand and went across my wrist I began to cry I heard the door open it must've been dad I don't know why he lets mom get away with what she does
I slammed the door locking it as I cried I started to clean up my cuts
"Alice are you in there?" It wasn't dad or mom
"T- Tyler?" I asked
"And Josh" I heard another voice I opened the door and hugged them crying.
Tyler's POV
I just pulled into the drive way to my childhood home I cant wait to see My family but mainly Alice
I went to go knock on the door but it was opened Me and Josh walked in and the place was trashed I saw that there was a fresh hole in the wall by the stairs, the coffee table was in pieces I saw mom passed out drunk on the couch I quickly made my way upstairs and saw Alice's bedroom door busted down I looked at Josh both of our eyes widened we went to go look for her when I heard crying coming from the bathroom
"Alice are you in there?" I asked the crying stopped
"T-Tyler?"
"And Josh" I looked at him he shrugged his shoulder then the door flew open and she hugged us
"Get me outa here please" She begged as she cried on my shoulder
"What happened?" I asked she then told me how mom abuses her and has been since she was seven
"C'mon pack your things your living with us" Josh said
"I don't want to bother you" She shook her head
"You wont" I said
"Besides we could use the company" I smiled which made her smile.
