I gotta say I am pretty disappointed how I didn't get many reads or comments on the very first chapter. Since a few people who read the first 2 Player's Chronicles wanted me to start posting the 3rd one but none of you commented.
Anyway, I am going to keep on posting even if no one cares about my story. I do it for those who want to read about another Ashburn member/s. You know who you are and I thank you for that!

Chapter2
After the funeral, my family and friends all went back to the villa for the celebration of Mamie Jules’ life instead of the dreary after-funeral gatherings that most people go to. We want her to be remembered as the lively hostess and also the loving and caring lady she was.
“Care to dance?” a voice asked me from my right side.
When I followed the hand that lay on my right shoulder, fair complexion met my eyes. I kept on looking up and when I saw her face, a genuine smile appeared on my face. I grabbed her hand with my left hand and removed it from my shoulder as I stood up at the same time pulling her in for a hug. She squealed at my action since I lifted her up in the process of the embrace.
“I guess you’re happy to see me?” she stated with a mischievous glint in her eyes when they locked with mine.
“Ah, Angel, you are a sight for sore eyes” I teased her as I kissed each of her cheeks in greeting.
Angelina Marina Rivera is another family friend. Her deceased mother Carmen Rivera was my Aunt Cricket’s best friend. She died when Angelina was only two years old. Once Aunt Cricket got everything to settle down for her, she invited Angelina and her dad Julio to move to North America and live there permanently. I pretty much grew up with her as well.
Again, that was until my family moved to Canada. The nickname Angel stuck to me since the first time meeting her at my Aunt Cricket’s twenty-fourth birthday bash in Budapest. That was also around the time she lost her mother.
“Get in line Angelina, I got first dibs on him” Nikki declared as she hooked an arm around my waist pulling me away from Angel.
I shrugged my shoulders in response because whenever Nikki uses that tone with anybody else, it means don’t mess with me or you’ll get messed up. Yeah, I don’t want that at all. I let her drag me to the far end of the dance floor and got in position for a dance with her. I arched an inquisitive brow her way and she sheepishly tilted her head away from me in response.
“What’s up Nikki?” I asked as we danced to the beat
“Nothing, I just think that you shouldn’t associate yourself with her that’s all” she stated sticking her nose up in the air like she doesn’t wanna smell something awful that’s in the air.
