As the limo pulled into the impressive driveway of the monsalve manor ,I couldn't help but take in the splendour of the building ...to put it simply it was amazing..but then again everything about the monsalve's was grand I could already hear the music streaming out the doors of the large ballroom ...."show time " I exhaled and stepped out of the limo .
With my back ramrod straight I pushed open the ballroom doors and took a cursory look at the room..smiling inwardly to myself I plucked a flute of champagne from a passing waiter and sipped slowly ,all the while taking a sweep of the guests in attendance.. I had one person in mind and today and only one goal - to make him pay!
My breath hitched in my throat as my gaze caught him He looked no different from than he did five years ago... still handsome still had the ability to make my heart flutter at his voice
But no more.....this time I'm calling the shots!
I walked towards him with a determined stride i saw his back stiffen at the sound of my voice "Nicholas , its been a long time"
I watched in amusement as he turned and blanched visibly....he struggled to find words.. he finally uttered a surprised "Amelia!!"
I smirked inwardly this was gonna be SO MUCH FUN!!
"Hi nick!"i chirped ....quite a surprise seeing you here..."what has it been ?,four.....five years, .....any way how is the family?" I continued Flashing him a grin , "but that's a story for another day" I drawled, I made a show of checking the time and then an exaggerated sigh escaped my lips shooting him an apologetic look, I spoke in a tone showed no apology" I'm so sorry I'm needed elsewhere... You know ,..so many things to do.... so little time ...it was nice seeing you though..
I turned and took a step when his voice stopped me in my tracks... "We need to talk...when can we meet again?" I small smile crept onto my face , looking at him over my shoulder "don't worry about that, something tells me we are going to see a lot more of each other sooner than you think, till then,.. toodles."...then i purposely put in extra sway to my steps, as I walked away I could still feel his gaze burning into my flesh .I gave my self a mental pat on the back." Lia you sly diva" I muttered to myself as I stepped into my limo,I poured myself a flute of champagne and took a slow sip savoring the tangy sweet taste,a self satisfied smirk crept up on my face. only one word could describe it,
