Lily became mark's best friend for the next three years he had in college, and she began to have more relationships with jeffery and Johan and betty and became more and more attached to each other. They had the best times of their life , they laughed and sang and had fun each time they meet, they went out for trips in the mountains, the woods and had so many pictures that brings them back to the blast and they always recall those as their best moments with the best of people.
But college is just a phase, it has to end at some point. They had different goal when it comes to future life and they always expected that they will never leave each other until the summer break after the graduation ceremony. Some cried some became so silent, but mark said:"don't worry guys, it's not the end of the world, we can still meet each other and travel together and have the bond without school, am i right?"
"You are absolutely right!" They all replied with a united voice.
And that was the last time mark ever saw his friends.
He had a small apartment that he bought with a loan that he hasn't paid yet, working at a small company, working extra time to get more money for him and his family, his father stopped working and the payment that helped him has been lowered because of the retirement. He is now the head of the family.
He sends his family an amount of money each month, But never meet them.
He had to stay ready all the time, concentrating on his job and each opportunity. His friends got locked up with their life too so their friendship started dying but mark always returned to those beautiful memories each time he went to sleep. His wish was to get enough money to pay his bills and have a bit of extra to go out and find his friends once again, and live with them another great moment.
Lily was always in his mind, his love, his perfect soulmate, always waiting desperately to meet her and take a look at her lovely eyes, her great smell.
But mark never had the chance to do what he wanted, so he always came to my house and started telling me all of that just so he can feel like someone was there for him to relief him from all the bulked up emotions.
All he lived was work, sports once in a while with me, and his house. He used to go out once in a week for shopping.
Why is mark's story is this important to me, I'll tell you why.
Mark now is the most silent man I have ever met. When I take him out with me in the weekends, he doesn't seem happy, you can see through his fake smile a very destroyed man.
Once we were out and he saw a couple of men trying to rob a high schooler. When i took a look at him he was full of rage and wanted only to throw him self over there and kill one of them, I thought that stopping him was the best thing to do, but I couldn't, he was unpredictably strong. He knocked the first man out and punched the second one and threw himself over him like a wild tiger that hasn't eaten in a very long time. The man's face was full of blood and mark was smiling. I never seen such a smile in my life, full of hate and a bit of happiness in it, as if it was the first time that i have seen the real him.
I tried so hard to stop him, and dragged him to our house and he slept like a baby, every time he sleeps he wakes up at 5 am, until today he woke up until 11 o'clock and he was full of energy to continue the day.
That day was the last time I ever heard about jeffery, Johan, betty and lily.
