Everyone sits in head to toe dressed in black. May is crying on Karl shoulder. Elliot sits stiffly his eyes glassy. Vito and Day are holding hands tightly. Jenny is looking after Poppy, both of them hugging each other and crying. Andrew sits beside them his head in his hands. Then there is Cole. He sits silently looking at the ground with a small box in his hands. The funeral had ended minutes ago and everyone else had stood up to gather and comfort. Jenny able to stop herself crying slowly gets up with Poppy on her hip. She walks over to the gloomiest guest there and stands in front. Slowly Cole raises his gaze and meets Jenny's. Jenny grabs his right hand and gives it a tight squeeze.
"Thank you for making her happy over the last couple of months. Although it may not have been obvious she was very depressed before we moved here." Jenny says giving a small smile. She let's go and walks towards Andrew and takes him to the other guests. Everyone left looked at their lost friend. Elliot slowly gets up and walks towards the casket.
"Hey Cat. I'll never forget you. I remember how we first met and I'm sorry. I know we weren't close but you seemed to mean everything to my brother and sister." He starts. "You-" His eyes start to water, "You will always be with us." He says before walking off. It's Vito and Day who follow him by going up to the casket.
"Hey Cat. It's your GBFs here. We just want to tell you that while you are up there make sure you scare the shit out of people and have fun. You have nothing to worry about. We'll look after everyone we promise." Vito says. Day holds his hand tighter as he starts to cry.
"I can't tell you how much you'll be missed but you'll never be forgotten." Day says before he and Vito walk off. It's Karl who comes next. He looks at the casket.
"I'll never understand girls but I do understand that you are the person who helped all of us in your own little way with that girl magic of yours and I want to thank you. Thank you for taking care of May and letting her be more free. Thank you for making Cole happy again." He says. He stays as May slowly walks over. She looks at the casket and breaks down again.
"Cat. I don't care if you are gone you'll always be here. In here." She says pointing to her heart. "When you first came I was friendless and you let me stay even when you found out who I was. You gave me an amazing couple of months and your my sister so I love you. I'll miss you. It's like I said in the hospital. It is okay to go. And now you're wherever you are I know you'll be happy." She says and starts crying harder. After a minute she pulls herself together and walks over to Cole who is still sitting there. May walks over and gives him a tight hug before walking off. Cole doesn't move from the seat not even until after everyone has gone. He just sits there fiddling with the box in his hand before slowly getting up. He walks to the casket with heavy shoulder.
"Lyn." He whispers. "I love you." He continues taking a deep breath he takes the box. "I love you so much I had gone to get you this. Yes it is an engagement ring, but it is one as a promise for the future that I'll never ever love anyone else. A promise that we will have our future together. I love you." He says. He places the box containing the ring ontop of the casket before looking at it longingly. He then turns and leaves. Leaves the person he truly loved and will always love.
