I woke up in a bed that was unfamiliar, the room was unfamiliar too. It took a few seconds of processing to realize I had fallen asleep with Spencer, I saw Aria sprawled onto the smaller bed across the room and Spencer to the right of me. I quietly got up and went into the bathroom, I heard giggles from downstairs so I slowly snaked my way to the stairs and listened. "Haha! No no Ali! Q..Quit tickling me!" Emily yelled, seeming to have a great time. "Not until you let go of the cookies you thief!" Alison giggled. They sounded so happy to be together, I only tore that down and made it less happy, I knew what I had to do. I slowly walked down the stairs, "good morning." I grinned softly sitting across from them. "Hey." Emily dryly replied not looking up from her phone. "Good morning babe." Alison smiled getting up to kiss me on the cheek. I saw a glare of jealousy wave across Emily's face. "I..I have to tell you something.." I sighed. "I'm going to fold laundry.." Emily interrupted walking off. "I..I can't do this Ali." I frowned pulling my rings off and sliding them to her. "Wh..What? Why?" She asked tears evident in her eyes. "You and Emily belong to each other, you have a bond like no other and I think I'm just a burden, so please it has to be this way." I frowned tears filling my eyes. "I love you Hanna, this is the most humble kindhearted thing I've ever seen you do, I'm proud to call you mine for the time that I did." She smiled softly. "B..But I'm going to miss you." She frowned. "I think this is best, because Emily already dislikes me, she was in a great mood before I came into the room." I frowned. "Come here." She whispered. I reluctantly joined her on the couch. "I love you, Hanna." She whispered, her gaze meeting mine. "I love you too." I smiled, she leaned in and kissed me softly, it was something I was going to miss and my heart would ache for. She didn't pull away instead she deepened the kiss, grabbing my face. "Mm, Ali." I growled. "Fuck I'm gonna m..m..miss you.." I whispered. "You don't have to miss me..." She whispered. I had to control myself, I know she isn't mine anymore. "N..No Ali, you're Emily's, I can't." I sighed. "But there will always be a spot in my heart for you." I smiled pecking her lips one last time. "I'm gonna go pack my stuff." I whispered letting go of her. I walked into my old room to find Emily folding our laundry. "Hi." She grumbled. "Look I know you don't like me but could you at least be a little compassionate?" I ask sarcastically, grabbing my bag from the closet. "What are you talking about?" Emily asked looking at me like I was stupid. "Exactly what I meant, now please hand me my clothes." I demanded trying not to cry. Emily walked to the door and shut it. "What are you doing?" I asked, trying to hide my pain with anger. "Look at me." She demanded. "What!" I yelled. She quietly made her way to me and grabbed me, holding me. That's when I broke, I broke down and I bawled. "Y..You don't love me anymore..." I sobbed grabbing onto her. "Y...You don't love me and there is nothing I can do about it..." I cried. "Hanna, hanna shhh..." She whispered rubbing my back. I eventually quieted down and sniffled. "What do you mean I don't love you?" She asked. "Alison and you are made for each other, I am just not meant for this relationship, you and her are going to make amazing mothers and if I was apart of that, it'd just cause confusion and I just can't put you through that." I sighed throwing a pair of heels in my bag. "Where are you going?" She asked concerned. "Spencer said I could stay in the guest room or the bed in their room but I really don't want to cause trouble with any of you guys." I sighed, tears dripping down my face. "Han, pleas-" "no, it's what I have to do, just trust me." I cried finishing packing. "But I love you." She whispered. "Emily, you don't, not the way I love you." I whispered grabbing my bags and purse. I gave her a sympathetic smile before walking out of the door of our room. I walked down the hallway expecting her to come chasing after me but she didn't. No one seemed to hear the rolling bags, I made my way to my car, throwing my items in the back. "Fuck.." I whispered wiping my tears. "She's right, where am I going to go?" I asked myself sitting in the car. Suddenly I heard my other car door open and close. "What do you want?" I ask looking at her. "I'm not leaving this car until you tell me what the hell you think you're doing." She spat, anger evident in her eyes. "I'm leaving, I'm doing you all a favor." I sighed starting my car. "Are you? Are you doing me a favor? I need you Hanna, you need me too. Now you're not going anywhere, unless I'm coming with you because I need you in my life and I'm not letting you leave again." She growled, clearly angry at my actions. "And...Spencer needs you too, you're her best friend." She added frowning slightly. "Why? Why am I so important to your everyday life? You have her, you don't need me!" I yell slamming my hand on the steering wheel. "Drive." She demanded, I slowly backed out and started driving. "I don't care where we are going but you're coming back." She scowled, grabbing my inner thigh. "Don-" "I'll do what I want, Hanna." She sighed her eyes meeting mine. "I love you." She whispered. "I love you too, Em, but not the way you love me." I sighed softly. "What does that even mean?" She asked. We came to a red light and I looked at her, "you don't get it, do you?" I scoff. "Not really..?" She sighed. "You and Alison are soul mates, you can tell, if I am put into this relationship you won't be able to get married, people at parties are going to laugh and whisper and what are your kids going to think they'll be so confused!" I laugh slamming my hand on the wheel again. "Hanna, aren't you basically naming off what's going to happen if Alison and I got married anyways, well besides the marriage part?" She asked. I hadn't thought of it like that but it did make sense what she had said. "I guess, but you two are clearly inlove, I'll find a girl who loves me like that eventually...." I sighed turning the car around. "Now I'm going to drop you off at you ho-" "turn here." She demanded. "Wh-I'm not gonna take ordered from yo-" "turn here!" She yelled, which actually shocked me, Emily never raised her voice like that. "Okay, please just calm down." I whispered. "Are you afraid of me?" She asked looking me dead in the eyes. "N..No." I stammered, my palms getting sweaty. "Right here turn." She demanded, we arrived at a small pond. "You're afraid of me?" She asked, her eyes now filled with more sadness than anger. "K..Kind of.." I stutter rubbing my arm. "Get out of the car." She declared getting out as well. "Look if you're going to kill me, please just make it quick." I cried, tears pouring from my soul. Suddenly I felt arms around me, it felt calming and I wanted to stay in her arms forever. "I'm so so sorry..." She whispered, rubbing my back. "I...I just wanted you to l..l..love me.." I sobbed into her chest. "I love you Han, I really do." She whispered. I knew she loved me, but never the way I loved her. "You don't belong to me Em, you belong to Alison." I shook my head letting her go. "And sometimes, you let go of the things you love." I smiled softly. "Hann-" "no, it just has to be this way, trust me I'll find my way on my own." I nodded. "Walk with me." She whispered. "Where are we going?" I asked as she grabbed my hand. "I don't know yet, let's have an adventure..okay?" She smiled. "Okay."
