Chapter 4: The news

Sierra walked home. I just can't believe she gone. Sierra thought. She remembered all the good times with Kayla since they met. How she was always there for her. Always putting Sierra before herself. And to be honest Kayla was the only true friend Sierra ever had. I mean sure she's the princess, but Sierra wasn't popular or anything. The only reason people liked is her I because they had to.
"Okay I need to focus. Instead of moping about it, how about I do it for her? Yea!" Sierra said out loud to herself.
She tried not to think about it but its hard not to think about your best friend.

"Oh sweetie what happened? You need to calm down."
"Mom how can I calm down?! My best friends dead!" Sierra knew not to think that way, but hey what do you expect?
"Oh... Oh Sierra I'm so sorry honey. Come here." Sierra's mom said giving her a big hug. Sierra felt so safe in her mothers arms.
"Everyone the king is home! Just kidding. Ah I crack myself up. Hey hon-" Sierra's dad looked and saw Sierra's crying face.
"Oh princess, come here." Her dad said coming into the hug. It felt so good to have this family group hug, its been a long time since her family came together. All the pain went rushing and it was finally just her and her family.

"So mom where's Phillip?" Sierra asked. Phillip was Sierra's brother.
"Oh he's with his little friend Timmy." Her mother responded.
"Honey! Get Phillip down here right now! Its not safe out there! Hurry!" Her dad said quickly. My mom told the guards to get Johnny right away.
"Dad! What's going on? What's the rush?" Sierra asked a little scared for the answer.
"Sierra you don't understand, just get your brother home and I'll explain. Hurry!" Her dad said pacing.
Johnny came rushing into the room with the guards.
"Daddy what's going on? I'm scared." Phillip said scarily.
"Oh my god. I thought this wouldn't come till later..... The dark side is coming."
