Sierra had fallen asleep in Jonathan's arms that night. It was the best sleep she had had in a while since coming into the woods. She woke up and saw Jonathan looking into the distance."Um hey.." Sierra said shyly.
"Oh hey, I didn't hear you wake up." He said with a smile.
"You know I was thinking, if we want to beat all these 'bad guys' you need to control your powers." Johnathan continued.
Is he gonna just ignore what happened last night. Sierra said to herself.
Of course he is, its not like he liked me anyways. Gosh, I'm so stupid. Sierra looked at the ground. A wave of sadness consumed her...
"Uh hey, are you okay?" Johnathan said cupping her face.
Sierra pulled away still looking down at the ground.
"Um yeah I'm fine... uh we should probably start working now if you want me to gain any type of control with my powers." Sierra said beginning to walk towards an abandon field.
Johnathan thought Sierra was acting kinda of off but just shrugged it off and ran to catch up with Sierra.
When he caught up he saw Sierra sitting in the field with her eyes closed and her hair blowing in the wind.
She looks so peaceful. Johnathan thought to himself.
I can't let anything happen to her, which means that she needs to learn how to control her powers.
Johnathan walked up to Sierra, "Hey you ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." Sierra said with a sigh.
She got up and made eye contact with Johnathan for a split second, before looking away and heading down to a lake cutting through the field.
This is stupid. I don't even need to control my powers, I already know how. Sierra thought. She balled her hand into fist, mad at everything around her. How she has yet to save her kingdom, how she can't even look at Johnathan anymore, how she couldn't do a damn thing right.
A red light began to glow around Sierra's fist, slowly getting brighter and brighter. Sierra looked at her reflection in the stream with anger in her eyes and thrusting her hands, out came a beam of bright vibrant red energy; exploding multiple trees across the lake.
Sierra looked up and realized not only what she had done but also what she could do.
"Woah." Sierra said aloud.
"Holy shit Sierra! What did you do?!" Jonathan exclaimed.
"I-I don't know... But it was pretty awesome huh?" Sierra said with a chuckle.
"So you ready to help me practice?" Sierra said with a smirk as she threw up her hand making a bright red beam glow through the sky.
Johnathan and Sierra spent all day practicing and working on her powers. Now she was able to control when and when not to use her powers rather then them just magically appear. She was also able to aim and hit opponents incase of an emergency.
"Hey nice job Sierra, your really getting the hang of it!" Johnathan said with a smile.
Sierra smiled and then looked down and her necklace.
"When the old lady gave this to me she said that my ancestors were warlocks, does... does that make me a witch?" She looked a Johnathan for the first time with confused eyes.
"Wow that's a big accusation, um I-I don't know." Johnathan said looking down.
"Am I gonna be evil? Does this mean that my powers are actually magic?" Sierra said with confusion.
"Sierra you are far from evil, you are nothing like the witches in this dark forest. And so what you can do magic? That doesn't make how you are any different." Johnathan said reassuring her.
"You know what your right, I'm still the same Sierra that I've always been and this'll just make me stronger!" Sierra said happily.
"You know it's been a long day of hard work, we should probably try and get some sleep." Johnathan said heading back to their camp. Sierra nodded and headed back as well wondering what else was expected on this journey.
