Please don't skip the A/N :)

Two years have passed since Meredith and Harry visited New York. A year and a half since the move was made permanent.

Meredith fell in love with the city the moment they arrived. The condo was everything she imagined – the minimalist style of Harry's with a few eyesores that Harry claimed to be "conversation pieces". That debate still comes up every now and then.

It took a lot of tears and convincing to get Anne and Louis on board with the move. He and Katie are expecting, just a couple months away from having a little girl. Of course, Meredith and Harry are the godparents, but not without a few sassy remarks from Louis.

Despite the distance between them, Meredith's relationship with her parents has never been stronger. Having her mum and dad in her life is still taking some getting used to, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Liam spends practically half his time at Meredith and Harry's condo. He's happy to finally have friends to be around instead of focusing all his time on... killing... and Meredith always feels safe around him. He's also the only man on the face of the earth Harry trusts to be alone with her.

Strangely enough, Niall and Allie became a thing. Since Harry is more than willing to lend out his money, he flew them out to New York to surprise Meredith for her twentieth birthday, only to receive the silent treatment for not telling her of their relationship.

It lasted about 3 minutes.

Harry's father adores Meredith. He thinks his Dad likes her more than he likes his own son. Meredith thinks he likes Bunz more than the both of them, but that is neither here nor there.

He's just weeks away from becoming CEO of the New York office. After many stressful meetings, late night cups of coffee, and pep talks from Meredith, he is ready.

They are each other's rock. The driving force keeping each other going.

Meredith is coming to the end of her freshman year at NYU. She received her high school diploma shortly after moving to New York. She's majoring in literature and creative writing, still hoping to become a published writer.

A few things have changed aside from their address. Meredith chopped her hair off at the shoulders and dyed it blonde. She received quite the good reaction from Harry. He still jokes about cutting his curls, only getting a glare from Meredith and a "you cut your hair, I cut you".

A tattoo now wraps around Meredith's wrist like a bracelet, covering the burn scar. It's the same pattern that was on the ring Harry gave her. A smile tugs at his lips whenever he sees it.

They lay now in the same position they did two years ago. Meredith's head rests on his bare chest, her leg tangled between his. She hums contently as he runs his long fingers through her hair.

Meredith can't stop looking at the ring on her finger, the way the diamond shines in the sunlight that flows in through the curtains.

Harry was so nervous when he proposed. Scared it was too soon; scared she wouldn't want the same thing. But his worries were washed away once he saw the look on her face as he got down on one knee.

They stay lost in their own heads as they lay together, dreaming of their future. So afraid of sharing their thoughts, but they should know better. They are simply an extension of each other.

They imagine little ones running around. Harry hopes they inherit the gentle thoughtfulness Meredith radiates. And obviously Meredith can just see little versions of Harry with dimples and green eyes and curly hair, as clumsy and dorky as he is. She smiles at the thought.

They imagine their wedding day. And if Harry gets teary eyed at the thought of his fiancé walking down the aisle, dressed beautifully in white, well nobody has to know.

They imagine their life together. How the years ahead will treat them. Meredith still has her doubts of a happy future, but all of that is taken away with once glance at Harry.

Nothing feels more right than this moment.

Today is my 18th birthday, so I thought the gif was fitting lmao

I will never be able to thank you guys enough for reading my story and commenting and voting and being so supportive.

When I first published this fic I was really nervous and it didn't do too well in the beginning. But you guys helped me be more confident as a writer and I just wanted to let you know how much that means to me.

Lately I've been finding it really hard to write and that makes me sad because it's honestly my favorite thing to do. But I'm going to keep trying to post chapters regularly in my new fic. Don't yell at me if it gets a lil wonky

Soz for being a sap. But I just finished my first fic and I'm getting emotional and I feel like Meredith is my literal child. I feel like a mama bird watching her baby leave the nest.. They grow up so fast :'(

ANYWAYS.

I love you all and thank you again for the support. I can never express my appreciation, but know that you guys have a special place in my heart

All the love xo
