[14] Thats Just How it is

I've decided to keep it Max x Reader for the sake of my sanity and a lot of other people's lelz.

You yawn as you stretch out on the couch, your head aching from all the screaming you did yesterday. You get up and look around your dorm, you noticed that Joji had left and there was a note on the kitchen counter. You scratch the top of your head and walk over to it. You pick up the note and begin to read it.

Y/n, I think you should be with Max. He deserves you more than I do. Please just forgot about us, I am already trying to. Anyways, I'm going back to Japan to finish my last couple years of collage. I'll see you some time, y/n.

Small tears escape your eyes and land on the note. You shake your head and look up.

"Joji wouldn't want me to be sad." You say, clearing your throat.

You grab a tissue and wipe the remaining tears away.

Knock knock.

You furrow your brow and walk over to the door. You look through the small hole to see who it was. Max. You hold back your tears as you unlock the door to your dorm. Max walks in, his cheeks stained pink, most likely from crying. His hair was messed up and he looked like he hadn't showered in a couple days. You take in a deep breath, and match your eyes to Max's.

"I know this sounds corny ,but I really miss you, and it was obvious that I was drunk out of my mind when I did that.. I can see why you ran to Joji's side, he's much more caring than me, but I care too. Y/n, you need to talk to me about things like this so it doesn't happen again. I know we both made mistakes and that's just how it is." Max says, as he breaks eye contact with you.

"Max, I miss you too. I want to forget what happened." You say nervously fidgeting with your fingers.

Max brings you into a warm hug, you instantly feel safe again.

"Y/n."

"Yes Max?"

"I love you."

"I love you too." You say smiling.

OMG IM SO SORRY THAT I HADNT UPDATED IN FOREVER FUCKING SCHOOL. ANYWAYS THIS IS REALLY SHORT BECAUSE YOU GUYS DESERVE SOMETHING TO READ BC I LEFT U ON A CLIFFHANGER SRY LOL. Oops
