Chapter 9- After school

Mayas POV

When I walk out of school I see Nathan standing by his car.

"Nathan, I have to stay after school to study in the library." I told Nathan.

"Okay. Call me once you're done studying." Nathan said rolling his eyes and so did I.

"No, it's alright I can walk. Its only like a mile." I said.

"No! Call me once you're done studying and I will come pick you up." Nathan said walking into his range Rover.

When I walked into the library I saw Danny studying.

"Hey Danny." I said as I walked to the table he was sitting at.

"Hey Maya, what are you doing here?" Danny asked.

"Studying." I said.

"Oh cool what class are you studying for?" Danny asked.

"Social studies, you?" I said.

"Math, sadly." Danny said.

"Why don't you like math?" I asked laughing.

"I don't know. It's just not my thing. I don't find an interest in it." He said.

"Oh. Yeah I hate Language Arts." I said.

"Well damn. what did language arts ever do to you?" He said as we both laughed.

"I just hate the teacher." I said.

"Yeah he sucks at teaching, and he's a creep." He said.

"Right." I said agreeing with Danny.

* 1 hour later *

"Well, I better call Nathan to come pick me up." I told Danny. If I'm being real. Danny and I didn't even study. We just talked about school. And how we hated our language arts teacher.

"Yeah it's getting pretty late." He said.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow." I said while walking out of the library.

"Maya.. wait!" I heard Danny yell for me. When I turn around I see Danny jogging towards me.

"Yeah?" I said

"Hey...umm, can I have your number? Not to hook up or anything obviously. Cause I know you don't do that. And I don't wanna do that." He said as I started to get really red.

"Umm, sure." I said while i gave him my phone. And he put his contact in my phone.

"Okay well I'll see you later." I said walking out of the school.when I get out of the school I call Nathan.

"Hello?" Nathan said.

"Hey can you come pick me up now."

"Yeah." Nathan said hanging up.

Well at least he's not mad anymore. Gosh I really hate being in a relationship with someone that I hate.

When Nathan came and picked me up he didn't say anything at first.

"So where is Amber?" Nathan asked me which I really wish he didn't ask.

"Umm... She's with her boyfriend, why?" Might as well keep the conversation going.

"Oh... I don't know I just thought that she would stay after school with you." Nathan said keeping his eyes on the road.
