A/N: I started a side book, called "butterfly effect on my heart" hmm, wonder where that title possibly came from. it's lucaya obviously. The updates on that one may be slow, but that's because this one is my main focus, but idea of that one has been hanging in my head waiting for me to write. Check it out if you liked these ones. Now back to this story.

Maya's POV

"Okay, we need to stop at home before we head to school." My jeans were more snug then I thought they were.

"Why what's wrong?" He pulled the car over to see why I made a random request half way to school.

"These pants are so snug, I need something more comfortable." I feel like my jeans are trying to suffocate me.

"Okay, home it is then school." He started the car back up and headed that way.

-At the Apartment-

"Lucas none of my jeans are going to fit and all my yoga pants are dirty." Good god this is not how I planned for today to go.

"Let me see." Lucas walks over to our dresser and pulls out a pair of his sweatpants "here wear these." He walks over and hands them to me.

"Don't you think these are gonna be too big on me?" I don't have any other option at this point.

"What other choice do you have right now? I'll take you shopping for clothes after school before I have to go to work." This is going to be the most painful day of school ever.

"Fine, lets go." He knows I'm not mad at him, just upset with myself for not doing laundry.

-School-

The school decided to have a random home room in the middle of the day, that Lucas and I have together. Great. We walked all the way to Matthews class in silence. He knows not to bug me when I'm irritated, so that's a plus. When we walked in, I swear all eyes were on Lucas and I. I walked over to Matthews and handed him the doctors note.

"Thank you Miss Hart and Mr Friar, I look forward to reading that in the school paper." Wait, what?

"Um, thank you, sir." Lucas caught on to what Matthews was doing. He already sensed my worry of everyone finding out this way so covered for us. I looked at Lucas and back at Matthews and smiled slightly.

"You two may take your seats, everyone is just working on homework, think of it as a study hall."

Lucas and I went and took our seats and I leaned my head back slightly for a second and closed my eyes and sighed in relief that today wouldn't be the day that everyone finds out. While everyone is doing homework I get up and walk over to Matthews desk.

"Hey" I said softly.

"Everything okay, Maya?" He looked up at me from grading papers.

"Yeah, I wanted to know if you and Mrs. Matthews are free tonight around 4, I need to talk to you both and it's important." Hopefully this will be the last conversation that I'll have to have with them involving Josh.

"Of course, but is everything okay?" I knew what he was getting at.

"Yeah, yeah, everything's fine, just want to talk to you guys." I smiled at him to reassure him that everything is fine.

"Okay, we'll see you then." I walked back over to my seat, smiled at Lucas and sat down.
