Maya's POV
Lucas and I have been going through baby book after baby book in our spare time. There's so many names to choose from. So many paints to go through for his room and then there's school. For once school is not on the list of problematic things in my life. Hopefully Lucas is home when I get off work so we can start putting this kids room together.

When I walked in the house, Lucas was no where in sight. I walked into the hall and see the light in the baby's bedroom on. When I opened the door Lucas had the crib all put together.
"You didn't have to do this all on your own Huckleberry." I said leaning up against the door frame.
"I wanted to and besides I don't want you to strain yourself, I'm fine with doing this, it was actually kind of fun." He said before he chuckled.
"Thanks." I said as I softly smiled at him.
"So, I was thinking, how would you feel about painting the room navy blue and maybe have star decor on the walls and whatnot?" He asked as he looked up at me. "It's just something I was thinking about and something we both love." He quickly added in before I could respond.
"That sounds kind of perfect Huckleberry." I replied with a big smile.
"I figured you would approve." He said with a big smile on his face.
"I could always find some quotes to put on the wall with the stars." I offered to him.
"I was hoping you would say that and this used to be where your art would come to life and I want you to still have that and use it." He replied as he stood up and walked over to me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you for making things easier on me, things have been starting to get rough lately getting used to not being able to do things I normally would do." I said as I laid my head on his chest.
"We'll always figure everything out together Maya. I know it's hard adjusting, but think about it, he'll be here in 5 months and it'll all be worth it in the end." He replied and then kissed the top of my head.
"I know." I whispered.

Walking through the halls at school are starting to get unbearable. People have been talking for the past few weeks. It's obvious that they have their suspicions about me being knocked up at 17. At the end of the day, I'm happy with my choices. I decided to stay in art a little longer after class to sketch out ideas for the baby's room. After I was done with that I stopped at my locker to switch out text books so my bag doesn't get too heavy for me.
"Hey Maya." I heard someone say, when I looked up it was Mr Matthews.
"Oh, Hi Matthews." I replied before smiling at him.
"How have things been?" He asked.
"They've been pretty good. Lucas and I are starting to get his room put together, we picked out a theme for the room too. Things are really coming together, we just need to pick out a name still." I explained to him.
"Yeah that's always the hardest part is finding a name." He said before he laughed a little.
"Thanks for checking up on me Matthews, but I should get to Lucas before he starts to worry." I replied to him with a smile.
"Of course, I'll see you in class after lunch."

Lucas went paint shopping after school and I asked Shawn to stop over for a little bit so we could catch up.
"How've you been kiddo?" He asked.
"Pregnant and more pregnant." I chuckled.
"Well besides that, how's school?" He tried to lighten the topic, but it didn't.
"School is school, I guess." I responded as I looked down at my hands.
"What's going on?" He asked genuinely concerned.
"People are figuring it out and I hear them whispering in the hallway. It's just getting way to hard to not care." I replied and could feel the tears building up.
"Who cares what they think. That's only an opinion apart from reality and the reality is you are a beautiful young lady and no amount of hate could ever change that, you're going to be a terrific mom and I can't wait to see the person you become once he's here, Lucas too." He said as he wrapped me in a hug.
"Thanks Shawn, I miss our heart to hearts sometimes." I admitted to him.
"Me too kiddo, I'm always a phone call away whenever you need to talk." He responded.
"I know." I said.
