Chapter 23 : Blood Muffin

*Unedited*

I was nervous for obvious reasons. It would be hard, but eh, I had to do this.

Yeah, yeah, okay, you guessed it alright. I was going to apologise to the Almighty of Awesomeness - Ishan Sen.

For the first two periods, he had Bio along with my sister while I was stuck in Statistics with Divya.

"What will happen to me when you and Ishan will make up and get back to being lovey-dovey with each other?"

"You'll have Tuhina back," I said rolling my eyes at her. We were now settling down in our classroom for Bengali.

"But I was getting used to you," Divya whined.

"I'll still be there for Stats and Eco."

"And together we'll devise plans to murder Yash," Divya smiled and clapped with glee.

"Yes," I fistbumped her and laughed at ourselves.

Whenever I met Ishan in the Nutrition practicals, I could never bring myself to look him in the eye, with the load of guilt weighing my heart down to my stomach. What had he done? Nothing. Nothing to scare me off or get this kind of treatment from me. He even wanted to be there for me when Preeti accused him for turning me. He had always been the best friend while I returned the generosity by being an asshole.

And Tuhina was being kind enough to remind me every waking hour, how I "promised a mother."

Great.

Remember the savage looking girl sitting in front of us? Well, it's about time she made an entry.

"You know, I could complain about attempt to murder against you two?"

"Are you trying to be funny or are you really that dumb?" I didn't have to say anything, Divya was easily the queen of comebacks.

"What?" The girl looked at us weirdly.

"So you are dumb. Don't worry, once you have my blessings, you'll get as smart as me. Okay, not as much as me, but Tuhin."

"Stop it, Divya," I said in between laughs. "Leave her alone, that's enough!"

"Who gave her the permission to put her XXL nose in our conversations?"

"Freaks," I heard the girl mutter.

"Tuhin, Anisha and Divya, out of my class! Get out, right now!"

Right, so much for being one of her "favourite" students.

The whole class looked at us as we stood up in our places. Including Ishan and Tuhina. Catching the amused look on my sister's face (she knew why I was being so antsy today), I dared not look at Ishan. And I was keen on leaving the classroom.

"Sorry, ma'am," Divya started in a totally different tone. From when did she have such a sweet voice? "We'll not -"

A snort of laughter interrupted her and everyone's head turned towards the source of the sound. My wonderful twin sister.

"No more excuses. Get out. And Tuhina, you might as well be delighted to join them outside."

My turn to laugh now. But I was clever enough to smile discreetly.

"Ma'am-" Tuhina stood up with a dumbfounded face.

"Somoe nosto koro na amar." (Don't waste my time)
