Foxheart was sunning himself on a rock when he heard something. His ears pricked, and he looked up. He was surprised to see a cat staring at him. A flaming cat. With emerald green eyes...

Foxheart didn't know why this cat was watching him. He had no clue who that cat even was in the first place. He leapt down from the rock, crouched, and started to sneak towards the cat.

This cat was here for a reason. Not like Amberpaw, who was watching just because she was curious. This cat seemed like he wasn't watching them, but more like watching over them. But...why?

The flame-colored Tom looked around, but somehow didn't see Foxheart. Foxheart smiled. That was good. He didn't want this cat to notice Foxheart was about to pounce on this cat. At least, that's what he was thinking, until... He was pounced on.

Foxheart squeaked, while they were rolling around in the dusty clearing. The cat pinned him down, then purred, "Got you."

"Wha..." Foxheart sat up, and began to groom himself. In an attempt to sneak up and ambush the cat, the tables turned. Now the ginger Tom was sitting up as well, starting to groom his pelt. "Who are you?" Foxheart asked, through licks.

"I am supposed to watch over you guys," The cat said, "You must be unfamiliar to Clan life. So many dangers could bring all of you to the brink of death. So, I've come to protect you."

"Who sent you?" Foxheart asked.

"Well... I sent myself," The cat said quickly.

"Okay, then..." Foxheart mewed, wondering if what the cat said was entirely true.

"I'm sort of supposed to survey, not much be part of the group. If something bad is to happen, I need to help you guys get through it." The cat explained. Foxheart breathed a sigh of relief. While this flaming Tom was talking about new dangers that could kill the Fazcats, Foxheart had been nervous, and kind of scared. But when the Tom said he would help protect them, he felt a weight lifted off his shoulders.

"Anyways, it's getting dark, you guys should get to sleep," The Tom said, lifting up his head, and surveying the night sky. Foxheart looked up as well. The stars looked so pretty. But the Tom seemed to be looking up at the stars a different way than Foxheart.

"Yeah, maybe," Foxheart said, then turned to the Tom, who was starting to pad away, "What's your name?"

"Yeah, sorry about that, it's Firestar," The cat called back. The name echoed in Foxheart's head. When he looked up to ask him a question, Firestar had vanished.

Foxheart padded over to a bush, and curled up under it. They had to make do, since there weren't any beds around, though Morningdrop did suggest putting feather and moss as the bedding. Browntuft took it as consideration. Foxheart then wondered about Firestar. He seemed to have come out of nowhere. Not only that, but his exit was...vague. As for how he talked. I wonder if what he says is true. I don't think he is just a feral cat that just wanted to protect us for some reason. He came here because somebody sent him. He just couldn't say. I need to find out why.

Soo... I guess now we know who Bluestar was talking to about the whole watcher thing... Man, I guess Starclan cats really are vague, and not just in prophecy dreams... Anyways, tell me in the comments what your favorite moment in the story so far is, and all that good stuff. See you guys later!
