Gwen was so done with college. It had been a long and stressful day at Oxford- full of several different exams and a large science project to complete. Unlocking the door to her dorm, she found the living space empty- meaning her roommate Natalie had already fallen asleep.
Barely managing to keep her eyes open, Gwen walked into her own seperate room, shutting the door behind her. She set her books on her cluttered desktop and slipped off her jacket. She turned aroundm, beginning to unbutton her blouse, when she heard a voice behind her.
"Gee, Gwen, you're already undressing yourself? My, aren't you excited?"
Shrieking, Gwen backed away, falling over. She reached up, turning on her light, and was greeted by her boyfriend, smugly sprawled across her bed.
"Peter Parker! You b-"
"Shh," he whispered. "Don't you have someone sleeping next door? Wouldn't want her to spoil our activities."
Gwen glared and crossed her arms, "Why are you here?"
"Thought we spend some time together." Peter said and patted the spot on the bed. "Come on, you have a late class tomorrow."
"Peter, I'm super tried-"
"Awww," he begged. "But I haven't seen you all week long. It would only be a few episodes of our favorite show."
Gwen rolled her eyes, "It's never only a few episodes."
Peter stuck his lips out, pouting, "Pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeeeee."
Throwing her arms in the air in defeat, Gwen crossed the arm and crawled into the bed. "You are spoiled." She stuck her finger at Peter accusingly.
He smiled, happy he had won. Turning the TV on, Peter wrapped his arm around his girlfriend, pulling her closer to him.
She rested her head on his shoulder and let his arms find themselves around her waist. Gwen allowed herself to close her eyes, finally content.
"Ugh," she heard Peter reply out of nowhere.
"What, bug boy?" Gwen asked, not opening her eyes.
"I hate that character so much."
Gwen perked one eye open, "I thought you hated the blond one."
"No she's fine. Sure, she's a little brat at times but really her friend is so ridiculous it drives me crazy. Like what the hell was she thinking telling everybody about...."
Grinning, Gwen closed her eyes, resuming her peaceful state. Peter could rant, like seriously rant, but that didn't mind her. It was amusing, endearing. He spoke his emotions about the characters like they were actual people, and she loved that. It made them more real to her.
"Gwen?" Peter asked, who had stopped his rambling.
"Mmmm?" She asked, so close to sleep.
"Were you even listening to half of that?"
Gwen let out a slight laugh, "Umm, you kind of lost me to be honest."
Peter chuckled, and she felt him lean down and press a soft kiss to her lips, before leaving a trail up to her forhead, "You should probably get some sleep, you look exhausted."
"Probably because I am," she spoke weakly.
"Goodnight, I love you." She heard him turn of the TV, and felt his lay down beside her, resuming his hold.
Love you too, she whispered. It was hardly audible, but she found herself too tired to speak them any clearer.
But she knew he heard. He always did.
A/N
So this was a random idea that just randomly came to me. I wrote it in one sitting, so I'm not entirely sure about it to be honest.
My updating schedule is a little all over the place at the moment, but I will try updating Forget Me Not (for those who are reading it) later on- but no guarantees.
Please leave me some suggestions- it will make updates so much easier for me!
