Bread and oranges could suffice,
And provide an adequate meal,
But as I struggle to remain here,
I will advance toward the kill. For nothing could inspire
A barbarous heart like yours,
And forge the wildfire
That burns with ardent force.Except that which has forsaken me,
And left me to the water's lash,
Bottled up my faith,
And seared it all to ash.I'll fall and scrape my knee,
Curtail myself of peace,
Submit to your will,
And revere my leash.
