Shelby's pov
I laugh off the statement. "What a 'neat' thought" I smile. Max smiles back and I hear his stomach growl "can we get something to eat? I'm starving" Max says "Ok... how about the restaurant down the street" I continue "Cheddars?" I read. "Yeah let's go there" he decides. We get into the car and pull into the parking lot. Max opens the door for Ross and I and we both hop out. "They better have mac and cheese here" Max laughs. We get into Cheddars and walk to a booth. We order our food and it comes 15 minutes later. Max obviously got macaroni Ross got a salad and I ordered pizza. It was a while until we finished our meal. "So Max, about our marriage image...." I continue he looks at me "pretty nice image if you ask me" he smiled "I hope so because I have something to tell you" I say Max stopped eating and looked up. I dug around in my purse and pulled it out. Ross crossed his arms and sat back with a smirk. Max looked worried I scouted out of my booth and stood up just to kneel down on one knee. Max looked like he was confused. "Max Larpus," I say Max's eye's widened "will you marry me" I simply ask. I see tears flood Max's face as he smiled brightly. He just nodded his with the biggest smile I've ever seen. Everyone started clapping and cheering Max embraced me in a tight hug. We got matching rings of silver bands with 7 souls imprinted in color. "I know we've only been dating for a little while but I know love when I feel it" I giggle. "I love you so much Shelby" Max managed to get out. " I know" I laugh as Max brought me into a soft kiss. "So when's the wedding" Ross blurted out I shrug my shoulders with a smile. "What's the theme?" Ross asked "overwatch" I say "undertale" Max said at the same time. We both burst out laughing. "I guess it'll be a crossover" I laugh. I've never been so happy.
Five years later
"Max hun, can you get Anamê and Saki from pre-school?" Shelby asked. "Of course baby" Max said while kissing Shelby. Max adjusted his black framed glasses and Shelby re-did her mesh bun. While rubbing her stomach that contained a 8 month developed baby as she walked by minecraft, overwatch, and undertale posters. Their French bull dog barked happily and their kitten purred.
Five years earlier
Shelby's pov
We arrive back at the apartments. "So Max, what'll happen if- I mean when you guys move in together?" Ross asked anxiously. "Well bud, I guess you'll have to either find a room mate or live by yourself" Max shrugged. Ross sighed "as long as they don't mind my anime collection..." he continued. Max and I both laugh "What about Em?" I suggest "She has a two bedroom apartment and needs someone to split the bill" I say. I see Ross blush deeply "ooooo" Max teased "Ross and Emily sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g" I taunted "W-what are you guys talking about" Ross laughed nervously then shifted his eyes. "Whatever you say" I giggle. "And Shelby" Max turned to me "yeah, Max" I say "once we move into a house can we get a French bull dog?" Max laughed "Ok" I smile "and a kitten?" Max slipped "Ok as long as we have a pool" I bargain "deal" Max agreed. "Oh" Max clapped his hands "we can teach our dog and cat how to swim" Max lit up. "Have fun with that" I tell him. "I love you Shelby" Max said dreamily "I know" I say with a laugh. "Hey lovebirds, I still don't know where ima live" Ross interrupted "we already told you move in with Em or Tim" I said "Hey, no I am not moving in with Tim I'd rather live in a hotel than with Tim" Ross ranted "That's a lil harsh" Max says "He is so messy" Ross said with emphasis on the 'so'. Max and I look at each other "an you know because of my monophobia I can not live alone" Ross complained "I am not going to invade your guys personal space so I guess Em will have to do if she says yes" Ross fake sighed as we saw his face turn red. " I don't have her number" Ross said "here call her from my phone" Max insisted so Max dialed the number and she picked up
Em: what's up looser
Ross: uh Em? I need to ask you about something
Em: Oh... Ross sorry caller ID said Max. Anyway what do you need to ask?
Ross: Max said you're looking for a roommate?
Em:.....go on
Ross: Em, Shelby and Max just got engaged so they're
Em: hold up, who got engaged to who? Seriously?
Ross: never mind that, anyway do you still have the room available?
Em: yes Ross. If you'd like to move in, then you can come over today and look at the room. Just before 9:00 because I'll be in bed. Who am I kidding I never sleep till 1 am. So come over anytime
Ross: thanks Emily
Em: any time... and by the way Ross.... are you seeing anyone? Oh! I'm j-just asking for.... future reference? Yeah! That's why I'm asking just to make sure if someone else would be here
Ross: no... not currently
Em: yes! I mean uh I just uh like to be alone...
Ross: ok... uh see you soon
Em: ok I love you bye... Oh sorry it's a habit of saying 'I love you' before hanging up... anyway see you soon
Ross: Bye Em
Now I know what you're thinking, "Skylee, why'd you make such a terrible, predictable and lazy not-worth-the-wait ending?
