Chapter 3

A/N warning: mentions of a slight panic attack

"I didn't know you and Dan even talked to each other." Joe said.

"We didn't. Not before yesterday." Phil replied.

It was currently lunch and Phil was explaining everything to Joe and Casper.

"Talking about me Phillip?"

Phil jumped as Dan sat down beside him.

"N-no." Phil stuttered.

Dan snickered and took a bite out of his green tea kit-kat.

"I didn't know they had green tea kit-kats." Phil said.

"They're from Japan. You want one?" Dan said.

Phil nodded excitedly. Dan smiled the boys excitement while reaching into his pocket and pulling out a kit-kat. He handed it to a, still very excited, Phil.

"Oh my God!" Someone behind them yelled dramatically, making Phil jump again.

Dan's friend Louise stood behind Dan and Phil with her hand on her chest.

"Dan Howell has shared his green tea kit-kats with Phil Lester! The world is ending! Everyone take cover! Its all over now!" She yelled dramatically.

"Shut up!" Dan laughed.

Phil looked over and noticed Dan was blushing. Aww he must be embarrassed.

"What're you doing here anyway? Not to like be rude, but you just kinda like appeared, did you need something?' Phil rambled on.

"Not really, I just, I don't know, I'll leave." Dan tried to stand up, but Phil caught his sleeve.

"I wasn't trying to shoo you off." Phil said, with a bright smile.

"You sure?" Dan asked, looking a bit unsure.

Phil nodded and Dan smiled lightly before sitting back down.

Phil looked over at Casper and Joe who both had smirks on their faces. Phil raised an eyebrow at them and they just shook their heads in response. Phil just shrugged and brushed it off.

Phil looked over at Dan and curiosity filled him. Dan's parents were hardcore Christians as well, how did they handle him coming out to them.

"Dan?" Phil got Dan's attention." How did your parents react to you coming out?"

Dan seemed to freeze as he turned to Phil with a tight smile." Well, they aren't supportive of it, but they don't really mind that I'm gay. I'm their son they still love me, you know?"

Phil could tell that Dan was lying, he started to panic as worry filled him.

"They didn't take it well, did they?" Phil asked, his voice filled with worry.
"No no no, don't panic!" Dan rushed out quickly, as Phil's hand started to shake.

In a moment of panic Dan grabbed onto Phil's shaking hand and intertwined their fingers.

Phil slowly started breathing normally again.

"Everyone reacts differently Phil, you can't determine how your parents will react based off of how my parents did." Dan said calmly, his hand still interlocked with Phil's.

Phil nodded, his breathing now back to normal.

On the other side of the table Joe and Casper were sharing knowing looks. To them it was pretty obvious that Dan and Phil were completely and utterly in love.

Joe and Casper just hoped the two fringed boys would figure it out before they had to play cupid.
