*Shawn's POV*
Go ahead and call me an overprotective best friend. Or a fuckboy, which I am not. I got upset when Lainey first told me that her and Jason had gotten together because I know what Jason has done in the past. He's hit other girls and he's cheated on them. I also may or may not have a little crush on her. She deserves so much better than that waste of a human being, but what can I do? I sighed in frustration as I went back in the house and got myself ready for work.
"What's up with you man?" Brian asked.
"Are you thinking about her again?" Ian asked.
"How can I not think about her? I'm worried that Jason's gonna do something and hurt Lainey."
"I know that you're worried about her man, but it's her choice to be with him. You can only hope for the best." Ian said. I sighed.
"Thanks. I gotta go to work. I'll see you guys later." I grabbed my keys and I was off.
*Lainey's POV*
The day went by surprisingly fast. The store was busy the whole day, which was a good thing. I walked to the back room and clocked out. I said bye to my co-workers and walked out to my car. I saw a smirking Jason standing at my car. He pulled me in a hug and kissed me.
"Well hi to you too." I giggled.
"I wanted to come by and ask you something."
"What's up?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come to a party with me tonight."
"Is anyone else that I know gonna be there?"
"I know that Jack is taking Maria tonight."
"Ok. I'll go." He smiled.
"Alright. I'm picking you up at 9. I'll see you later babe." He kissed me on the cheek.
"Alright. Bye babe." Well, tonight should be fun.
